In this paper, monosyllabic act“40Lessons For Basic Chinese Course”(1) themonosyllabic behavior verb “eat”,“look”,“hear”,“fight”,“walk” to study, analyze theevolution of Chinese semantic clues to the surface from the point and improve theexternal Chinese Teaching vocabulary level teaching. The author mainly use acombination of synchronic and diachronic approach to research from syntactic,semantic, lexical meanings,metaphors theory perspective. On the basic of previousstudies. First, from the level of synchronic and diachronic polysemy onmonosyllabic word “eat”,“look”,“hear”,“fight”,“walk” to sort out meanings, andanalyze the historical evolution of contact and the meanings of time between the variousmeanings. Second, to explore the meaning and then evolved types, causes, cognitiverationale and cultural implication. Finally, we have the teaching of foreign Chinese“eat”,“look”,“hear”,“fight”,“walk” conducted a preliminary investigation, theanalysis of the frequency of use each foreign language defined terms.The thesis is divided into four chapters, the specific content is summarized asfollows:The first chapter is an introduction, describes the theoretical background, researchcontent, significance, research methods and corpus sources.The second chapter were sorted out,“eat”,“look”,“hear”,“fight”,“walk” variousmeanings, and a detailed description of the origin of the various meanings, evolution,and cultural meanings behind each implication introduced.The third chapter from the perspective of the type and motivation to analyze the“eat”,“look”,“hear”,“fight”,“walk” the various meanings, meanings of each type ofanalysis and the evolution of motivation.The fourth chapter return “Basic Chinese40course”(1)“eat”,“look”,“hear”,“fight”,“walk” in the context of appearing in textbooks to summarize, analyzemeanings arise and grammatical structure and the emergence of frequency analysis. Reflections on Teaching Chinese Foreign most common is how meanings are come.And examine students in these words in use.The conclusion summarizes the main points of the article.
