Chenwei enjoyed its popularity and played an important role inacademic circle in the Eastern Han Dynasty. The dominators of Han put numerousefforts into developing the study of Confucianism, which was on the basis of thethought of Etiquette. From all aspects of Confucian classics and politics in the HanDynasty, etiquette was attached great attention to. Carrying forward Etiquette andChenwei, Liwei not only reflected precisely the traditional essence of Confucianism, butalso had a far-reaching influence on Confucian classics, religion and politics in the Handynasty.The destiny of Chenwei just like the waves of history which experienced its ownups and downs, Chenwei repeatedly denied by the rulers in the history and finally itwent to its downfall, even its classics just little had left. At the prevalent time whencompiling and editing scattering documents and manuscripts was widespread in China,fortunately, documents of Chenwei has been found and edited by scholars from ancientand modern ages. The researches on Chenwei has been made by more and morescholars, and the topics of Chenwei became more and more specific. Han dynasty,which is the grand unification time in Chinese history,and the stability time on politicsand economy, and the time that China enjoyed its relatively glorious culture. We canunderstand better the origin thought of Liwei when we compare the texts of “the recordof which the Sun and the Moon moves in right”,“the Queen Mother of the West;” and“five Different Ways of Sacrifice” in Liwei with the academic background. At the sametime, Liwei, which as the outcome of deified etiquette in Han dynasty, have animportant relationship with Confucianism, Daoism and politics. The two differentliterature of classics in Han dynasty, which with Chenwei mixed together. And, thethought of the interaction between heaven and mankind, the thought of yin and yangand the thought of calamity had an influenced on the specific worship systems. Chenweiis not only as a variant thoughts in Confucianism, but also the origin thought of Daoism. The thought of Liwei, which combined with theology, prompted the formation on thethought of the Queen Mother of the West, sorcery and the text of Taipingjing. Thethought of Chenwei, as the most important trend in academy of Han dynasty, manifestits thoughts vividly in the time on which political power changed. The content of Liweiconcentrates on the study of “Heaven” and the thought of “Three Emperors and FiveSovereigns”, according to this, the rulers often use the thought of Chenwei as a tool todeceive from citizens and to make the public voice accompany his side at the time whenthey ascended the thrones.
