In recent years, practice research on interpreting is in the ascendant in China, yet very little research paper on study of solutions to interpreting problems or errors in the actual practice. So hopefully the interpreting practice’s analysis and discussion in this thesis will give some benefits to the theoretical researches and interpreting jobs in future.This thesis is the practice report on simulation-based interpreting of Apple’s new product launch on October22,2013. At the launch, Apple Inc. has released five new product series:iPad Air, iPad mini, MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, etc, plus official version of OS X Mavericks system with multiple free software projects, such as iLife and iWork. This simulation-based interpreting is a simulation-based consecutive interpreting of the video clips from Apple’s new product launch. The practice report begins with the description of interpreting task, which briefs on background info, object and purpose of the interpreting task. Then, it discusses the preparation works before interpreting and the process and results of the interpretation. At last, several interpreting problems or errors have identified and analyzed in the report with the interpreting strategies and techniques proposed in interpreting.Apple inc. enjoys a reputation as a world-famous electronic technology company, and its new product launches have been considered as one of the most important indicators in the electronic industry which gained great attention across the globe. It has become a unique model for modern commercial product launch with professional and trendy language. So that’s the reason why the interpreter has chosen Apple’s New Product Launch on October22,2013for interpreting material. It can inspect interpreter’s abilities of language application and interpreting practice, also several specific strategies and solutions to interpreting problems or errors would be proposed for future tasks through analysis and discussion.Apple’s New Product Launch requires high standards of interpreting level and professionalism due to its technical specialty.
