| As a young director,Li Yu has only five films screened at present.But she has attracted much attention in China since she frequently received major movie prizes abroad..Li Yu’s films have strong artistic style, one can not only feel the pioneer audio and visual aesthetic, but also the violent or tender impact and solace to the spiritual mind.Currently,studies on Li Yu’s films is not many,and mainly focus on analysis of one single movie.This paper attempts to carry out a systematic and comprehensive analysis of Li Yu’s films, focusing mainly on the expression of its multiple movie theme and the usage of artistic expressions, so as to find out Li Yu’s unique label. This is also the main purpose and significance of this paper.This paper is divided into five chapters. First made a brief overview of the upbringing of director Li Yu and her movie creation. In addition, it systematically analyses related papers over the years,and points out the meaning and innovation point of this paper.Then defines the creation scope for Li Yu’s film. Putting the films in the intergenerational spectrum and category of female movies. Thus, it reveals her significance and status in the director group in Chinese. The third, the fourth chapter from the content and form of the two carried out a detailed analysis on Li Yu’s films. Subject claim Li Yu film mainly focus on the expression and construction of women’s issues, humanistic theme of kernel and adhere to the culture and philosophy of life into three aspects. Form is used by this paper mainly discusses the technique of expression.Thisincludes narrative perspective, narrative methods,lens language,music style and symbolic images. This chapter, being the continuance of the third chapter for the investigation of expression in the films, also displays most her films’unique aesthetics.The last chapter, it evaluates her films from two creative contribution and creative defects aspects.It not only analyzes her movie types and the commercial success, but also points out the shortage of its existence from the aspect of narrative logic and female concept.As a non-professional female director, Li Yu can always adhere to expressing through the film the reality of caring and rational thinking, and meanwhile keep exploring innovative initiative in art is commendable. Therefore,the integrity of research works on the Li Yu’s works can both deepen the understanding of her film, and provide a reference for future discussion. |
