The jade fish is one of the ancient Chinese jades. It was useded from theNeolithic period to the Qing dynasty, with an unusually long time. The stage ofprosperity of the jade fish is the Western Zhou dynasty. And Shaanxi area is arepresentative of the Western Zhou dynasty. In this theses, from thearcheological materials, the jade fish types are systematically analyzed, thejade fish evolution is deeply discussed and summarized, and staging isconducted on the basis of this discussion. At the same time, the damage of theunearthed jade fish, the rank, age and other related statistical data of thetombs, are given a deep statistics and analysis. The texture, color, craft,design, adaptation, functions and other related issues of the jade fish, are alsodiscussed in this theses.
