A Study Of Translation Of Contracts Concerning Foreign Affairs From The Perspective Of The Cohesion

This is a translation report, the original text are four contracts concerning foreignaffairs, which are in relation to business trade. This report mainly discusses thecontract concerning foreign affairs from English to Chinese in the perspective of thecohesion devices. The text first introduce the composition and stylistic features of thecontract concerning foreign affairs, and some information related to the theory ofcohesion, then use a lot of examples to elaborate the most important question of thistext according to the five cohesion devices of Halliday, that is, how to realize thetransform of different cohesion devices used in English and Chinese contract when wetranslate the contract from English to Chinese. Based on those practices, this report isintended to prove that, by applying the theory of cohesion into the practice of contracttranslation, will contribute to translation work.
