The Related Research Of College Students’ Empathy And Moral Behavior Level

With the development of modern society, more and more problems presented infront of people. In view of college students, moral problems should not be ignored. Inaddition to the external factors that family and social factors, research on the impactof internal factors of moral behavior level such as compassion, empathy ability alsoarise.The purpose of this study is to explore the college students’ empathy influence onthe level of ethical behavior and influence degree size. The questionnaires includingthe college students’ moral behavior level questionnaire and college student-s’empathy ability (Han Liying translated " Mehrabian empathy scale"). The resultsshow that:(1) the questionnaire reliability and validity of moral behavior level of collegestudents is very high, can be used as an effective tool to measure students’ moralbehavior level;(2) college students’ empathy ability is in higher level, moral behavior is inlower level;(3) empathy ability does not exist significant differences in gender, majordistribution of source, type, but there was a significant difference in grade and theonly child type;(4) the moral standard of university students has no significant differencebetween students and professional distribution, but there are significant differences ingender, grade and the only child type;(5) there is positive correlation between students’ capacity for empathy and moralbehavior, empathy ability can predict a positive effect on the moral behavior.Based on the above research results, this study suggested from three aspects:country, universities and individual students, we need to take effective measures, andimprove the moral level of university students, so we can promote the development ofmoral education of college students.
