Bao Zhao and Jiang Yan are great masters in the Southern Dynasty. They have gained outstanding achievements in terms of poetry. Theyare the representatives from Yuanjia style to Yongming style duringthe poetic style transition. Because they have something incommon,they are called Jiang Bao. In recent years, the researchabout poetry comparing Bao Zhao with Jiang Yan has not gottenstanding achievements. I just want to have a try in the regard. Onthis thesis I use the methods of Literature and history combined,points and surfaces combined to analysis focused on thesimilarities of both Poetry, complemented by differences. Thisthesis is divided into four parts.The first one illustrates why they are called Jiang Bao. Itaffected the social environment. And it is related with theircharacter and experience.The second one compares their poetry ideological contents.Their poetry is rich in subject matter. This chapter mainly comparestheir representative landscape poems, conversation poems, chantingpoems.The third one analyzes the writing poetry characteristic andthe formation of different reasons. They are good at imitating. Theyshow a tendency poetry still odd.They have something difference in poetry, language style, ideological content, and other aspects ofemotional momentum. It is related with character and experience.The last one explores of both poetry artistic skills. They havesame poetry form. Bao Zhao’s poetic language is very gorgeous andextravagant, generous any gas, vigorous any simplicity. JiangYan’s poetic language is colorful, tragic and desolation,classical and smooth. They like using old stories, language andBingxing in their poetry.
