Reality has shown a big difference with painting realistically in Chinese meaning. Reality is the object referring to objective reality while painting realistically means describing objects truly .Named after some kind of principle , it becomes some creation means or art conception. The beginning of the 1900s is a period when Chinese society, politics , economy and culture turbulenced. The thoughts of the new era were pounding the old cultures of feudalism continuously that one wound like to withdraw from society and live in the solitude. However, the though of escaping the world could no longer catch up with the pace of time. Then the art of going into society actively began to be adw0cated. Under these circumstances, Chinese portrait entered a crucial development period when it came back to life gradually with the need of the times. Chinese painters' paddion of affecting the reality with art was greatly arosed and they become more concerned about people, society ,the real society in a directer way. Based on the creation process of Xu Bei Hong and Jiang Zhao He ,the text makes a comparison of their characters of realism creation,as well as makes a rational summary and meditation that within the new century , realism creation still has an exuberant vitality. Chinese culture has a long history and the high-grade pieces of work among it always contain strong humanity concern inside .Being greatly dependent on the real life and artists' social sense of calling ensure that the realism creation is not likely obsolete .
