Throughout the history of Chinese literature of the trajectory, the development of allegorypoems from the pre-Qin period, Western Han and Eastern Han dynasties to Tang dynasty, andthe tang dynasty was a peak. The appearance of the peak because of Bai juyi’s allegory poems.The literary arena in tang dynasty, there were lots of talents, only Bai juyi inherited thetraditional poetry, carried forward the traditional spirit. So the poetry tradition could beinherit and carry forward. The Bai juyi’s poetry was divided into four categories, they wereallegory poems, leisure poems, sentimental poems and the poems with variety of patterns. Infour categories, Bai juyi had the highest evaluation was allegory poems. Number of allegorypoems was one hundred and seventy-two. Those poems profoundly showed us Bai juyi’sideological content, poetry advocates and creative attitude. Bai juyi’s allegory poems wasresearched fully from creation background and creative process, subject matter, artisticfeatures and influence and the historical evaluation aspects. There was the overall point ofview for the article, thus we could investigated deeply the poems and the artistic breath andideological and value orientation of Bai juyi.This article was divided into five chapters. The first chapter stated the concept andresearch status of allegory and the allegory poems slightly. The second chapter summarizedcreation background and creative process of the allegory poems. The creation background ofallegory poems has two aspects, they were social background and ieological background. Thecreative process was divided into three periods.The third chapter ideological content of theallegory poems. This chapte profoundly analyzed the four aspects of ideological content inthe form of combining poems. The fourth chapter stated artistic features of the allegory poemsin detail. The chapter analyzed both ihetorical art and image choose roundly. Thus, we canmaster artistic features of the allegory poems fully. The fifth chapter overviewed the influenceand the historical evaluation of allegory poems. The influence on posterity literati wasenormous, and we could concluded the status and influence of Bai juyi’s allegory poems in theliterary history through the influence on posterity literati.
