Study On Ethics Of Communication Subject Of TV Column Plays From The Perspective Of Ethics

As the first TV column play indeed in our country, Night Stories of Misty Capital, waslaunched by Chongqing television station in1994. It became one of the highest audiencerating programs of Chongqing television station in a few years, ranked new peak in thenational ratings and was well-received by audiences due to its characteristics ofpopularization, localization, story-telling and so forth. After that, various provincial andmunicipal TV stations followed suit, especially in2006, a new upsurge in the development ofTV column play was in the making and this year was also known as “the year of TV columnplays”. However, with an ocean increasing of TV column plays, in order to contest withaudience rating, TV column plays became increasingly intense and the development of TVcolumn plays was trapped by quick profit-making attitude; in order to stimulate the senses ofaudiences, lots of plays was put on the stage with grungy, kitsch and superficial contents andbegan to challenge the bottom line of ethic and morality.One of the most significant parts of this paper focused on the spread of ethical dilemmaabout the performance of TV column plays, and the propagation behavior mentioned refers toprofessional behavior of protagonists on the TV column plays, which including topics,narrative, filming, editing, production and other processes. On account of mentalities ofcommunicator with values, mental activity and attitude tendency penetrated processes all thetimes, what’s more, the communicators made moral judgments and choice in these processes.This paper analyzed and discussed from the links in some cases what were likely to have theethical issues on a series of propagation behaviors, which included topics, narrative plots,language and filming of TV column plays respectively. In the aspect of topic, the thesisregarded different categories as different parts and pointed out the ethical issues when select atopic of TV column plays about these three categories, emotional, news and law-related. As tonarrative plots, the author mainly concentrated on characters, conflict and suspense, andfound the ethical dilemma from them. In terms of language, the author explained ethical issuewhich was origin from the three parts of dialogue, narration and titles. On filming, the authorsummarized the ethic anomie from the views of shooting and editing. This paper, aimed at the ethical dilemma about the propagation of TV column plays, andexpounded the factors that influence the development of TV column plays in the aspects ofculture, technology and economy, what’s more, the paper based on the principle of ethnics,and put forward the fundamental principles about the propagation of TV column plays, theywere, principles of right equal with obligation, principles of justice and principle ofmoderation. Finally, this paper prospected the future of TV column plays and proposed fourtrends of serialization of program form, specialization of program content, the veritablepursuit of art and the improvement of the audience’s morality.
