This thesis is a monograph on the normal edueation in Zhili from1902to1922.There was a tradition of honoring the teaehers in our country, but it did not appear thespecialized training of teachers educational institutions. In1897, the establishment ofShanghai Nanyang Public Normal Academy oPened the Prologue of the normal edueation inModern China. It standed a specialized training Teachers’ agencies appeared. Later, as a seriesof normal education statutes and decrees promulgated, the initial development of normaleducation.The normal education of Zhili was rising in the background, and started his owndevelopment road.With the Qing foreign affairs education and the new deal reform, Zhili has constructed alot of new schools. In addition to raising money, the most urgent of the new schools is theproblem of teachers. So in order to solve this problem, Zhili builded many of the Normalschool, which has been accredited in teacher education to rise. In1902, zhili constructed thefirst normal school.The following year, Tianjin also founded the earliest School Teachers--teachers cram and faculty research institute. After that, across the province has begin to builtvarious types of teacher education institutions. According to statistics, by1922, the provinceonly normal school is28, ranking first in the country, students to thousands of people.At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Zhili has been strict complianced with governmenteducation policy, implemented national policy, established various normal school and formeda perfect educational system. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, the normal education of Zhiliafter from scratch, from infancy to maturity. Which had been trained a large number ofteachers and education personnel, and through the school teachers’ training, it participated inand promoted the modernization of traditional education. At that time, there were somesuccess in zhili’s normal education. But there are some problems too, such as the developmentwas not satisfied with the present situation and and parts of the level was not in conformitywith the specifications, etc. However, its innovation and development process to takeinnovative measures and ideas, were still worthy of our reflection and enlightenment.
