Objective:Nasal polyps is a common chronic inflammatory disease in otolaryngology head and neck surgery, higher morbidity and recurrence rate, but the etiology and pathogenesis is unclear. The current that the occurrence of nasal polyps is caused by all sorts of reasons work together, these reasons in different ways way long-term stimulation nasal mucosal epithelium, result in dilated vascular endothelial gap, plasma proteins extravasation, lead to interstitial edema, rupture of epithelial, after that gradually developed and formed. The immune system play an important role in the process of the development of nasal polyps.At present, found that regulatory T cell was hyposecretion in nasal polyps, helper T cell Th1, Th2, Th17 secreted proinflammatory cytokine was high expression. IL-35 promote regulatory T cell proliferation,regulating Th1/Th2 cells balance, inhibition of Th17 cell differentiation and cytokines secretion and so on, play an important role in anti-infection and autoimmune disease, provides a new idea for etiological research and treatment of nasal polyps.Methods:Collected from April 2015 to October which met the inclusion criteria of the ENT in our hospital, In 28 patients who were performed the functional nasal endoscopic surgery with nasal polyp specimens as the experimental group, and 12 patients who were performed the same row ofthe middle turbinate and nasal septum resection surgery with nasal mucosa specimens as a control group. All of the patients underwent surgery in the preoperative three months did not use any hormonal drugs and no other serious illness history, all of the specimens of all experiment through the pathology confirmation. Using immunohistochemical method to detect IL-35 expression in nasal polyps and nasalmucosa tissue specimens, Observed under optical microscope in the experimental section of positive expression of IL- 35 parts and situations, and color pathological graphic analysis system to determine the experimental results obtained, all the results were statistically analyzed using SPSS17.0 software, the threshold for significance was α=0.05.When P<0.05, the difference was statistically significant.Result:Positive staining was different from the background color of tan, dyeing area are mainly distributed in the cell cytoplasm. IL-35 in the tissue of nasal polyps positive expression mainly in the submucosa invasion of inflammatory cells in the cytoplasm, a small amount of expression in mucosal epithelial cell cytoplasm, in the control section is mainly expressed in cytoplasm of epithelial cells of mucous membrane and gland cell cytoplasm, the expression of IL-35 in diversity. Positive expression of specimens in nasal polyps group has 7, mild positive expression of specimens have 14, positive expression of specimens with five, severe positive expression of specimens have 2, normal nasal mucosa in the group without positive expression of specimens with 2, four mild positive expression of specimens, positive expression of specimen has sixteen, specimens have six major positive expression, IL- 35 in normal nasal mucous membrane group the positive expression rate of higher than positive expression rate in nasal polyps group,will get the two groups of data chi-square, α=0.05,chi-square=16.128, P < 0.05, the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion:IL-35 in nasal polyps expression was lower than those of control group, the prompt IL-35 may has important significance in the process of the development of nasal polyps,and has the potential to be a new way for the treatment of nasal polyps.
