Hepatoma is a high mortality rate of the disease. Thermal ablation technique is a means of treatment of liver cancer in clinic. However, the traditional thermal ablation of liver cancer biopsy surgery only for smaller diameter tumor treatment, and conventional surgery requires the doctor have high experience. To overcome these limitations, building a robot thermal ablation system for liver cancer is an effective solution. Preoperative planning system thermal ablation of liver cancer is an important component of surgical robot system. This paper discusses the thermal ablation Hepatoma robotic surgery technique before surgery planning system to be used in the background, compared the advantages and disadvantages of the current existence of the related art, select or make the system suitable technical solutions. First, we analyzed the workflow of the entire system, we need to use a brief introduction of the CT image data file format. Second, analysis of the current strengths and weaknesses of the main image segmentation algorithm based on the level set method for image segmentation method is proposed herein system.
