Objective:To investigate the clinical application and effect of videoassisted thoracic surgery in mediastinal tumors. Methods:The data of 122 patients with mediastinal tumors in our hospital were all from VATS cases.56 of them were males.Age from 9 to 78 years. All the patients with preoperative assessment can tolerate anesthesia and single-lung ventilation,Suspected malignant tumor should rule out distant metastases before operation.People with MG cases who use drugs should adjust drug doses Make sure patients with the best condition and suitable for endoscopic surgery after a comprehensive analysis.Through statistical blood loss, the time between the operation time and leaving hospital, pain level reflects the feasibility and efficacy of thoracoscopeic surgery.Result:All of the patients were operated successfully without dead cases. The operation time, bleeding volume and hospital stays were 40 ~330min, 10~800mL, and 2~18d respectively; Most cases only operate the simple tumor resection,20 patients with large size tumor or tumor and surrounding tissue adhesion adopt the assisted small incision to complete the operation. A total of 11 patients with preoperative identified or intraoperative frozen section as malignant only make biopsy Postoperative follow-up of symptoms remits, even disappears with no cases relapsed.Conclusion:Video- assisted thoracic surgery in mediastinal tumors has many advantages such as little wound, recover faster, safe and effective. It is the first choice of surgical method of mediastinal tumors especially benign tumor without surgery taboo. It has affirm feasibility and clinical effects, worthy of clinical promotion.
