Objective:To study the curative effect and adverse reaction of Oxcarbazepine oral suspension in Infants under 6 months old with epilepsy, and to provide reference of antiepileptic drug use in young Infants. Methods:A total of 32 cases of under 6 months old Infants with epilepsy were given Oxcarbazepine oral suspension,There were finally 30 cases enrolled for 2 patients were lost to follow-up. The drug dose was added gradually. The curative effect and the drug adverse reaction were originally evaluated. Results:In 30 epilepsy children Infants, the total effective rate of efficiency was 90.0%, and control rate was 76.7%; Adverse drug reaction was found 2 in 30 (6.67%) of Infants. The symptoms were light and transient. The incidence of adverse reactions are diarrhea and rash.Conclusion:(1)The curative effect and safety of Oxcarbazepine oral suspension in treating epileptic Infants under 6 months old was favorable. (2) In young infants,EEG could indicated focal discharge while clinical manifest indicated generalized seizures; (3) In terms of the total effective rate, Patients with sharp,sharp-spikes or sharp/spike and wave complex discharges are more effective than patients with other types of discharge. And single focal patients’effect was higher than multifocal patients;(4) In terms of the total effective rate, the curative effect of OXC treating patients with normal cranial MRI was higher than those with abnormal cranial MRI.
