Objective:To establish the model of perinatal iron deficiency and observe the general condition of the rats.Detecting the hematologic parameters:hemoglobin(Hb),red blood cell count(RBC),mean corpuscular volume(MCV),concentration hematocrit(PCV),mean cell hemoglobin(MCH),red blood cell volume distribution width(RDW), To observe whether there is a phenomenon of low birth weight in the offspring, Expression of The EPOR in Pituitary of Rats with Iron Deficiency’s offspring. To observe whether EPO in low birth weight can protect the body to adapt to the environment and live.Methods: 48 healthy female Wistar rats were selected randomly,one week after feeding adaptation,and randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group,16 rats in each group.The rats in experimental group were fed with low iron diet(iron content:10mg/Kg)and the rats in control group were fed with normal diet(iron content:206mg/Kg),then begin the intervention. Four weeks after intervention,the rats were mated with healthy adult male rats and continued to feed each diet until delivery.to study about the expression of the EPOR in pituitary of rats with iron deficiency’s offspring.Results: 1.Rat model of perinatal iron deficiency were established successfully. The level of Hb,MCV,MCH,PCV in experimental group were statistically significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05) 2.Pregnant rats iron deficiency,can lead to offspring low birth weight.3.Perinatal iron deficiency rats significantly higher, the newborn rat pituitary EPOR expression and reduce GH expression.
