Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of negative pressure suction technology in septoplasty. To explore the superiority of the negative pressure suction technology than nasal packing after septoplasty, provide reliable basis for clinical treatment and prognosis.Method:In our hospital(Central Hospital of Chaoyang City, Department of ENT)2013 December- 2014 December Forty-six(46) patients participated in this trial. The patients were randomly divided into two groups, those who used nasal packing after septopasty(group 1)(n=23) and the others who used negative pressure suction technology after septoplasty(group 2)(n=23). The comfort degrees(nasal obstruction, nasal facial pain and hesdaches, epiphora, difficulty in swallowing, sleep disorders)evaluated by using visual analogue scale(VAS) and edema in nasal cavity, complications and healing rates after operation were compared between two groups in three months.Result:The VAS scores(nasal obstruction, nasal facial pain and hesdaches, epiphora, difficulty in swallowing, sleep disorders) at the 24 th hours after operation in the two groups, it was significantly better in observation group, the difference was statistically significant(t =-5.083,P < 0.05).The mucosa of nasal cavity in the two groups was significantly better in observation group in the third day after operation, the difference was statistically significant(χ2 =6.044,P < 0.05).23 cases of control group, 2 cases found septal hematoma, Cleaning the hematoma and second packing in endoscope, the two recovered. 23 cases of experimental group, 1cases found septal hematoma, Cleaning the hematoma, suturing incision closely to form negative pressure effectively, the one recovered.there is no septal perforation, septum abscess and nasal adhesion cases. The postoperative total effective rate and the postoperative complications in the experimental group and the control group, the difference was not statistically significant.(P>0.05).Conclusions:Negative pressure suction applied after septoplasty can significantly relieve the distress of patients, ensure the total effective rate, but does not increase the incidence of postoperative complications compared with nasal packing.Negative pressure suction technology can significantly redece postoperative VAS scores, reduce patient pain, reduce mucosal edema, shorten the postoperative recovery time.
