Expression And Significance Of Pim-3 Protein Compared With P-gp、Bcl-2 Protein In Non-hodgkin Lymphoma

Objective: In this study we detected the expression of Pim-3,P-gp and Bcl-2 protein in Non-Hodgkin lymphoma patients to investigate the expression and significance of Pim-3.Methods:Immunohistochemical technique(En Vision method)was used to test the expression of Pim-3,P-gp and Bcl-2 protein in 68 cases of NHL tissuses(including 57 initial treatment cases and 11 relapsed cases)and 10 cases of reactive hyperplastic lymphoid tissues(control group).Results:(1)In NHL,there was no significant difference in the expression of P-gp,Bcl-2, Pim-3 protein between the initial treatment group and control group(P>0.0167),but the expression of P-gp,Bcl-2,Pim-3 protein was significantly different between the relapsed group and control group(P<0.0167),between the initial treatment group and relapsed group(P<0.0167).(2)The expression of P-gp,Bcl-2,Pim-3 protein were all statistically different from the chemotherapy effect of NHL(P<0.05).(3)In NHL,the expression of Pim-3 protein was positively related with Bcl-2 protein(P<0.05),and Bcl-2 protein expression was positively related with P-gp protein(P<0.05),Pim-3 protein expression was positively related with P-gp protein(P<0.05).(4)There were no marked significances in the expression of P-gp,Bcl-2,Pim-3 protein relating to sex and age of NHL patients.Conclusion: High expression of Pim-3 protein was found in relapsed group.The effect of chemotherapy is not good due to the occurrence of drug resistance.We may indicate that the high expression of Pim-3 protein in relapsed group may induce drug resistance.There was a positive correlation between the expression of Pim-3 and P-gp protein,between Pim-3 and Bcl-2 protein,which indicates that Pim-3 may play a cooperation role with P-gp and Bcl-2 in the initiation of multidrug resistance in NHL.
