Background: Beh?et’s disease is not uncommon in clinical, but the etiology and pathogenesis is still unclear, and the clinical manifestation is complex and changeable, and it is no completely effective method to cure this disease. Therefore, it takes a serious threat to the physical and mental health of the patients. In addition, the early symptoms of Beh?et’s disease is not typical, and its various symptoms did not occur simultaneously, meanwhile no specific laboratory tests and the special pathological change. At present, diagnosis criteria of Beh?et’s disease is not unified. So, there are certain difficulties in clinically definitive diagnosis, and even in some cases may be missed or misdiagnosed.Objective: To understand the morbidity and the clinical features of Beh?et’s disease, so as to raise awareness of the disease.Methods: A retrospective analysis of the clinical data from 96 cases of Beh?et’s Disease patients admitted to Second Clinical Hospital of Lanzhou University rheumatology and dermatology during the period of January 2011 to December 2015. To make a list that including patients clinical information, such as general information, the first diagnostic departments, the first symptom, couse of disease, clinical features, comorbidities, laboratory examination and histopathological examination, to define the diagnostic criteria, and all available data are solved with SPSS19.0 software to statistical analysis.Results: 96 patients in the male/female ratio was 1: 1.1, the patients of males was 46(47.9%), however, the patients of females was 50(52.1%). In this study, age of onset was 12 to 75 years, mean age of the cases was 39.60±13.03 years, duration was 5days to 30 years. Average duration: 4.38±5.45 years. The incidence of oral aphthous lesions(94.8%), genital ulcers(59.4%), erythema nodosum(55.2%), folliculitis(35.4%), ocular involvement in 55.2%, joint involvement in 38.5%, vascular involvement in 10.4%, nervous system involvement in 8.3%, digestive system involvement in 7.3%, the respiratory system involvement in 10.4%, cardiac involvement in 6.3%, positive pathergy test(22.9%). Erythema nodosum in the males and femeals onset was 39.1%, 70.0%, erythema nodosum was more frequent in the females than in the males(P<0.05), and in any age grounds, women erythema nodosum incidence were higher than males. Ocular and vascular involvement were more frequent in the males than in the females(both P<0.05). Folliculitis in the young and middle-aged group onset is higher than in the elderly group(P<0.05), and the young and middle-aged group were more significant in the males than in the females(P<0.05). In cardiac involvement, the incidence of elderly women group is higher than elderly men group(P<0.05). Laboratory findings showed that the frequency of increased peripheral blood leukocytes was 17.0%, neutrophila 38.3%, elevated ESR 27.1%, elevated CRP level 42.7%, proteinuria 35.1%, elevated UGLU level 8.51%, elevated Ig A level 22.5%,elevated Ig M level 10.0%, elevated anti-ANA antibody positive level 9.1%, anti-ds-DNA antibody positive level 8.0%.Conclusions:1. Prevalence of men and women was nearly equal;2. The most common initial symptoms of obversed throughout the Beh?et’s disease were oral ulcers;3. Inflammatory markers ESR and CRP were made standards of Beh?et’s disease aetive stag;4.Ocular involvement and vascular involvement were significantly higher in the males than in the females, however, deep vein thrombosis was more common in the vascular involvement; in the males had more serious harm in the eyes, such as blindness; erythema nodosum was more frequent in the females than in the males;5. Erythema nodosum incidence of females in different age groups were higher; Folliculitis in the young and middle-aged group were more significant in the males than in the females; in cardiac involvement, it was more common in the elderly women; however, in the different of age groups, folliculitis in the young and middle-aged group onset was higher than in the elderly group; Cardiac involvement was significantly higher in the elderly group than the young and middle-aged group;6. Erythema nodosum and recurrent aphthous ulce was first misdiagnosis more common in the study.
