Objective:To compare the effects of TPTD treatment in 6 months period in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis in Kunming and other parts.Methods:92 women(mean age 71.29±8.92 years),who were diagnosed as postmenopausal osteoporosis by DXA in Yunnan Research Center of bone metabolic disease in First Affiliated Hospital of Kumming Medical University.The method is retrospective study. Every patient received PTH(1-34) 20ug, CaCO3900mg andl,25 (OH) 2D30.25ug,daily in 6 months.Before treatment,treats 6 months later,patients were tested lumbar and left femoral neck BMD by DXA,and SF-36 rating questionnaire.Before treatment,treats 3 months later,and treats 6 months later patients were tested VAS pain score.And compare to results which use TPTD 6 months reported at home and abroad.Results:1.From baseline to endpoint,the BMD of patients in the study increased significantly in the treatment of TPTD after 6 months.TPTD increased the lumbar spine (L2-4) and left femoral neck by 20.31%(P< 0.05) and 1.61%(P>0.05). In this study,the increased ratio of lumbar is more than other domestic areas, the increased ratio of femoral neck is similar to other areas.2.The back pain of patients in the study is serious, VAS pain score is 8.35±1.29 before the treatment, VAS pain score is 4.85 ± 1.66 at 3 and 2.60 ± 1.17 at 6 months. The back pain relief significantly after TPTD treatment. Although the back pain of patients in the study before treatment is severe than the pain reported in Japan and Europe region, but the back pain of patients in the study relief is more obvious.3. In the short form 36-item questionnaire scale, the highest score is the social function and the most obvious change is emotional functions.Conclusion:It’s a good choice to use TPTD treatment for 6 months among economic limited in postmenopausal osteoporosis patients.
