We summary the the etiology and pathogenesis of post-infectious cough (PIC) and clear that airway hyperresponsiveness plays an important role in the pathogenesis of PIC which is associated with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) theory of "wind induced cough". Of the Chinese "wind evil in the pathogenesis of PIC, and airway hyperresponsiveness and combined, the pic pathogenesis is" V of the lung by wind evil, wind priming endogenous wind, internal and external lead, treatment focuses on sparse wind, endogenous", from the doctor of traditional Chinese medicine theory on PIC airway high anti the pathogenesis, clear the airway hyperresponsiveness (AHR) play an important role in the pathogenesis of PIC. On the other hand, the PIC transient vanilloid potential 1 (receptor) subtype receptor 1 (TRPV1) channels are important in the pathogenesis of airway responsiveness in patients with PIC. And on the basis of this theory the animal model is set up to further explore the related mechanism.Method:(1)In the experimental part of this article, Airway hyperresponsiveness of the mice model injected a certain concentration of LPS were successfully confirmed by testing the variety of airway resistance, lung compliance, cough frequency and Lung tissue pathology.(2) On the basis of successful replicated model, we managed the mice which have injected a certain concentration of LPS with intragastric Qufeng Xuanfei Decoction, and then tested variation of cough frequency, lung compliance, airway resistance, Lung tissue pathology to observe the therapeutic effect of Qufeng Xuanfei Decoction on airway hyperresponsiveness of mice injected with LPS.(3) Compared with the blank group, expression of SP and NK1 of LPS group mice, significantly increased, however through intragastric administration of Qufeng Xuanfei Decoction the expression of SP and NK1 reduced, and related numerical had statistical significance; immunohistochemistry displayed TRPV1 expression was mainly located around the bronchial, and immunohistochemistry semiquantitative analysis showed that LPS could cause TRPV1 increased significantly, Qufeng Xuanfei Decoction group significantly decreased. What is more, expression of TRPV1 protein and gene tested by Western Blot(WB) and RT PCR showed Qufeng Xuanfei Decoction could reduced increased TRPV1 expression because of injection of LPS, and related numerical had statistical significance.(4) RT PCR results showed that expression of NGF and trKa of LPS group compared with the blank group increased significantly, but in Qufeng Xuanfei Decoction group they were significantly lower. And the specific numerical has statistical significance. Results:after intraperitoneal injection with LPS, airway hyperresponsiveness, of the mice significantly increased, Qufeng Xuanfei Decoction could decreased airway hyperresponsiveness and reduce the frequency of cough in mice owing to LPS. the mechanism was probably that by Qufeng Xuanfei Decoction could decreased the neurogenic inflammation and TRPV1 expression, And expelling wind and dispersing lung soup to reduce the infection of airway sensory neurons expressing TRPV1 is by lowering the upstream of the NKF and its receptor. This study examined treatment effects of Qufeng Xuanfei Decoction against airway hyperresponsiveness of of PIC through animal models And revealed the possible mechanism. For the clinical curative effect of Qufeng Xuanfei Decoction we not only provide scientific basis, but also provide a rationale for clinical application and promotion...
