The Study On The Distribution Characteristics Of TCM Syndrome Elements Of Hypertension Complicated With Type 2 Diabetes In Hongqiao Community Of Nanjing

Objective:To explore and analyze the distribution characteristics of TCM Syndromes elements of hypertension complicated with type 2 diabetes in Hongqiao community to provide the clinical thinking for the prevention and treatment of hypertension complicated with type 2 diabetes.Methods:To conduct a questionnaire survey on patients with hypertension complicated with type 2 diabetes mellitus during the period of March 2015 to September 2015 in Hongqiao community health service center. To collect basic and TCM diagnostic information,and then establish a database. To summarize TCM syndrome elements distribution characteristics with statistical methods and analyze related factors.Results:The hypertension patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in Hongqiao community mainly distribute in 60-79 demographic, men in women with early onset.72.9%of them are overweight reflected in BMI. The history of most hypertension is less than 10 years, type 2 diabetes mellitus is less than 15 years. New cases are increasing. The Risk factors include smoking and drinking, unhealthy diet, lack of exercise and family history. The location syndrome elements mainly distribute in spleen, lung, kidney, liver and their mutual combination. The nature syndrome elements mainly distribute in Qi deficiency, yin deficiency, heat, blood stasis and damp. Age, gender, exercise frequency, history of disease are statistically significant for syndrome element distribution. Men and younger patients are concentrated in the positive syndrome elements, and women and older patients are concentrated in deficiency syndrome elements. Patients with little sports are showed their deficiency of Qi and yin. Patients with longer history of hypertension and type 2 diabetes relates to more disease location and deficiency trend.Conclusion:The hypertensive patients with type 2 diabetes in Hongqiao community shows that location syndrome elements mainly distribute in spleen, lung, kidney and liver, nature syndrome elements mainly distribute in qi deficiency, yin deficiency, heat, blood stasis and damp. Most combination of syndrome elements is intermingled deficiency and excess. The syndrome elements distribution is related with age, gender, exercise frequency, duration etc.. The primary health institutions should actively carry out prevention work for high-risk population of hypertension and diabetes. It is worth exploring a way to carry out individualized Chinese medicine conditioning for hypertensive patients with type 2 diabetes who have been strengthen the follow-up and health education.
