Purpose:To compare the acupuncture analgesia effect of trigeminal and occipital nerve distribution points, and observe the special relations between of them, at the same time, to explore the neural pathway, for which can provide an optimization program to treat acute migraine through the therapy of acupuncture. Methods:The standard 60 patients were randomly divided into two groups, The group A with a way of Pai-zhen-ping-ci, to acupuncture occipital nerve distribution points, choose the points from Nao-kong to Feng-chi, putting 2 needles parallel to the sides, and the points from Nao-hu to Feng-fu,putting 1 needle parallel to the sides. Inserting needle 1 inch, retaining the needle 2h. The other group B acupunctures trigeminal nerve distribution points, to choose the points from Tou-wei to Yu-yao、Han-yan to Si-zhu-kong、Xuan-lu to Tai-yang、Xuan-li to Tong-zi-liao、Qu-bin to Shang-guan、Yu-yao、Si-bai、Jia-cheng-jaing, inserting needle 1inch, retaining the needle 2h.Recording the VAS score before acupuncture、immediately、after acupuncture 10min,20min,30min,40min,50min, 1h,2h。Comparing the pain relief between A and B group, and contasting specific analgesic effort of acupuncture among different neuraldistribution. Results:The patients of group A with acupuncture within 40min, VAS scores compared with the previous point in time, P<0.05, statistically significant,40min after,P> 0.05, no statistical significance; the group B patients acupuncture within 50min, VAS score and the point in time comparison, P<0.05, statistically significant,50min after P> 0.05, no statistical significance; the degree of headache relief acupuncture groups compared only acupuncture immediately P<0.05, statistically significant, and thereafter every period of time, both P> 0.05, not statistically significant. Two groups of patients with headache relief of comparison sites, occipital, frontal, temporal, periorbital higher frequency of episodes of four parts, after 2h, the remission rates of group A were:80%,41.7%,75%,46.4%; the remission rates of group B were:0,71.4%,73.7%,81%.Conclusions:1. Comparing the acupuncture analgesia effect of trigeminal and occipital nerve distribution points, the latter is faster and better effect on acupuncture immediately, there is no significant difference in analgesic efficacy between the two groups after acupuncture; the upper neural pathway of occipital nerve distribution points is short relatively.2. To acupuncture different neural distribution points can relieve pain from the same neural distribution area, Which can remind that analgesic effect of acupuncturing different neural distribution is special.during the migraine acute phase.
