Objectives:To explore the psychological barrier of adult simple obesity by comparing the relevant scores and state the association between plasma NPY, SS, VIP level of simple obese patients and psychological condition by blood testing then. To further discuss the correlation between the expression of NPY, SS, VIP and psychological disorder of simple obesity, the level of plasma NPY, SS, VIP in obese mice that along with psychological stress were tested. Methods:To study and determine the psychological situation of 135 cases of simple obese patients (86 cases of psychological disorders, psychological normal 49 cases) and 65 cases of mental health in healthy volunteers by general information questionnaire, Life Event Scale (Life Event Scale, LES) and SCL (90 Symptom Check List, SCL-90). To detecte the level of NPY, SS, VIP by ELISA and to explore the relationship between the expression of NPY, SS, VIP and psychological disorder of simple obesity. Results:The number and stimulating quantity of total life events and the number and stimulating quantity of negative life events of simple obese group were significantly higher than the normal control group. The total score and score of somatization, obsession, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, hostility domains in siple obese patients were higher than that in the healthy volunteers.Speaking of biochemical indices and hormone level of simple obese patients, there were no significantly associations between obesity and the level of glutamic-pyruvic transaminase, glutamic-oxalacetic transaminase, triglyceride, direct bilirubin and indirect bilirubin. Instead, there was significant difference between obesity and the expressive level of glycosylated hemoglobin, NPY, SS, VIP. In simple obese patients, comparing psychological disorder patients with normal ones, significant difference was observed in gender, marital condition, smoking history, drinking history, expressive level of glutamic-pyruvic transaminase, NPY, SS,VIP (p<0.05) but not in age, educational level, occupation, monthly income of family, way of medical payment, belief, expressive level of glycosylated hemoglobin, glutamic-oxalacetic transaminase, triglyceride, direct bilirubin and indirect bilirubin. In simple obesity combined with psychological disorder group, the NPY level showed remarkable correlation with marital condition, SS level and VIP level (p<0.05) but not with age, gender, educational level, occupation, monthly income of family, way of medical payment, belief, smoking history, drinking history and family history. In simple obesity combined with psychological disorder group, the SS level showed significant relation with educational level, belief, smoking history, drinking history, NPY level and VIP level (p<0.05) but not with age, occupation, monthly income of family, way of medical payment, family history, gender and marital condition. In simple obesity combined with psychological disorder group, the VIP level showed significant relation with marital condition, NPY level and SS level (p<0.05) but not with age, gender, educational level, occupation, monthly income of family, way of medical payment, smoking history, drinking history and family history. Correlation analysis showed that psychological scores of simple obese patients closely related to NPY(P=0.049), SS(P=0.043), VIP(P=0.039)respectively.multivariate analysis:In vivo NPY, SS, VIP levels can be used as stand-alone predictors of psychological health of simple obese patients.Compared simple obese mice combined with psychological stress with normal ones, plasma NPY, SS, VIP level showed significant difference(p<0.05).Conclusions:Psychological disorder of simple obese patients resulted from combination of multiple factors and associated with plasma NPY,SS, VIP. Plasma NPY, SS, VIP level could be independent risk factors to predict the psychological condition of simple obese patients.
