Cardiac valve diseases are caused by the anatomical abnormalities and/or dysfunction of cardiac valve, which can result in cardiac dysfunction. It can be congenital or acquired. Acquired cardiac valve diseases are mostly rheumatic heart disease. Despite this, the cause of acquired cardiac valve diseases also can be degenerative, infective and ischemic. The cardiac valves can make sure that the blood flowing towards and prevent from regurgitation. Valvular dysfunction, whether stenosis or regurgitation, can lead to cardiac hemodynamic disorder, and finally do damage to the heart. Valve replacement is the recommend treatment for the patients with cardiac valve diseases at present. After removing the diseased valve, the prosthesisis sewed to the valve ring by suture. The suture we used in the operation could easily get twined. To avoid this event during surgery, we have designed a new kind of suture. And, in this article, the characters of the new suture will be demonstrated by its design and usage.
