ObjectiveMultiple myeloma (myeloma multiple, MM) is a malignant plasma cell disease. With the progress of MM diagnosis and treatment technology, the incidence of MM related peripheral neuropathy (neuropathy Peripheral, PN) gradually increased, but its pathogenesis has not been fully explained. At present, western medicine and the Chinese medicine have no definite and effective treatment to the peripheral nerve disease of multiple myeloma. In this experiment, through the experiment to explore TCM Comprehensive Therapy (oral administration of Chinese medicine, Chinese medicine sticking and Chinese herbal fumigation and washing, acupuncture in the treatment of multiple myeloma role and significance of peripheral neuropathy, the evaluation of integrated traditional Chinese medicine therapy treatment effect of the peripheral neuropathy in multiple myeloma, to guide TCM therapy provides the basis and method for the treatment of peripheral neuropathy in multiple myeloma.MethodStrictly according to the procedures of the research completed the trial, using randomized controlled methods, were collected as control group and the experimental group (oral administration of Chinese medicine, Chinese medicine sticking and Chinese herbal fumigation and washing, acupuncture). The experimental group (22 cases), control group (22 cases), a total of 44 cases. According to the severity of disease, the patients were graded treatment, using statistical methods to compare and analysis of two groups of experimental data were recorded clinical curative effect and analysis of two groups of patients with the numeric pain rating table (NRS) to improve the situation, two groups of sensory nerve disorder clinical curative effect, two groups of motor nerve disorder, who recommended the anticancer drug toxicity clinical efficacy results finally draws the conclusion.ResultsPain digital Rating Scale (NRS) to improve the situation, the experimental group total effective rate 77.27%, the control group total effective rate two,36.36% groups of treatment results compare the total effective rate P=0.006 (P<0.05), there is statistical difference. Two clinical curative effect of 2 groups of sensory nerve disorder, the experimental group total effective rate 31.82%, the total effective rate of the control group was two, the total effective rate was 0.027 (P<0.05), there were statistically significant differences between the 68.18% groups. Two comparison of clinical efficacy of 3 groups of motor nerve disorder, the experimental group was 31.82%, the efficiency of the control group was two, the total effective rate was 0.155 (P>0.05), there was no statistical difference between the 13.64% groups.According to the WHO recommended the anticancer drug toxicity clinical curative effect evaluation, experimental group total efficiency 54.55%, total efficiency of 31.82% in the control group, the treatment in the two groups compared with the results of the total efficiency of P=0.095 (P> 0.05), no statistical significance.Local symptoms, limb numbness, limb pain, feeling physical disabilities, apathetic four major local symptoms were improved, four kind of symptom remission rate in was not statistically significant (P= 0.120). But the symptoms of pairwise comparison, limb pain remission rate than limb sensation response rate, with statistical significance (P= 0.021). There were no significant differences between the two two other major local symptoms.GonclusionWith multiple myeloma, peripheral neuropathy were treated with combination therapy of traditional Chinese medicine, can relieve the patient feel abnormalities, numbness, pain and other symptoms, comprehensive analysis, comprehensive therapy of traditional Chinese medicine to improve multiple myeloma, peripheral neuropathy in patients with clinical symptoms to the important role.
