Objective:To explore the relationship between the Six Meridians Syndromes and Clinical Index of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) c Metabolic Syndrome (MC) and to discover the regulation and meanings of the data through the data-mining and association-rules, which may prove the fesibility of the six meridian differntiational prediction of cardiovascular diseases. Methods:Collecting the datas of personal information, four diagnostic, clinical indexes, etc from the patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus accompanying Metabolic Syndrome in the Endocrinology Department in the First Affiliated Hospital of the Guangzhou University of TCM from Jan the 2014 to Dec the 2015 and established the database by EXCEL. After data preprocessing, the association rules was discovered and analyzed through IBM SPSS Modeler 14.1 software Apriori algorithm for mining association rules.Results:(1).Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus accompanying metabolic syndrome were mainly composed of young and middle-ages, with the male and female ratio of 1.17:1 and the prominent decrease in HDL-C. The Shaoyang syndrome occurred most frequently in the Six meridian syndrome, which featured the symptoms including the numbness of limbs, blurred vision, thirst with desire of drink, insomnia, etc, with the pale tongue under a white greasy coating and the string or deep pulse.(2). The following items were occurred in the highest frequency in the association rules:the 2h PG and FPG under target both; BMI 24-27.9; the low level of HDL-C and the HbAlc above 10.1; the highlevel total cholesterol and the high level TG with high level LDL-C.(3). The following items were also occurred as the highest frequent in the association rules:xerostomia and polydipsia; the pale tongue and the blurred vision. Besides there was a multi-association between the string pulse, edema, and the bitter taste.(4). The patients with second-class hypertension could be manifested thirty drink; And the most patients with second-class hypertension and a higher level in both TG and LDL-C desired for drink; the symptoms included xerostomia, polydipsia, bitter taste, weakness, non-restorative sleep, blurred vision, Slippery pulse, and the pale tongue with white or yellow coating led to the non-reaching-target 2hPG; and the symptoms included xerostomia, urinary foam, constipation, weight loss, the pale tongue with white coating led to a lower level in HDL-C.(5). The Taiyang Disease mainly associated with the first-class hypertension and the HbAlc ranged 8.1%-9.0%. The Yangming Disease mostly related to a higher level in both UA and TG besides the HbAlc ranged 7.1%-8.0%. The Shaoyang Disease mainly correlated with the normal or elevated BMI, non-reaching-target FPG and the the HbAlc from 7.1% to 8.0%. The Taiyin Disease principally associated with the HbAlc and blood pressure both within the limits and a high lever of TG. The Shaoyin Disease were connected with the higher level of GGT, TC and TG. The Jueyin Disease mainly related to the higher GGT and TC, and the HbAlc ranged 9.1%-10.0% and the non-reaching-target FPG.(6). The Taiyang Disease mainly associated with the symptoms including dizziness, pruritic rash, polydipsia, numbness of limbs, weight loss, the pale tongue coated white and the thready or slippery pulse. The Yangming Disease mainly associated with the symptoms including xerostomia, constipation and the rapid pulse. The Shaoyang Disease was mainly relevant to the symptoms including the bitter taste, the red tongue and the string pulse, while the Taiyin Disease was mostly associated with the symptoms including emaciation and the pale tongue coated white and greasy and a deep pulse. The Shaoyin Disease was mostly related to the symptoms including nocturnal urination and the pale, white coating tongue and the thready pulse, while the Jueyin Disease related to the symptoms including xerostomia, polydipsia, chest stuffy pain, weakness, aversion to cold, cough, non-restorative sleep, and a dark red tongue with greasy coating and the string pulse. Conclusion:As the major population of the patients with T2DM accompanied by MC are in the middle-young age, the early education about the disease plays a essential role in the early prevention; and to the population that had exposed to the disease, the key to prevend the risk of cardiovascular disease is to reducing the weight and correcting the disturbance in the lipid and glucose metabolism. Thurs, with the differentiation mainly based on the Six-meridians we can predict the risk of a disturbance in the lipid and glucose metabolism exposing the patients with T2DM accompanied by MC and carry out the secondary prevention for the cardiovascular disease, and present the treatment according to the rules and principles in Treatise on Febrile Diseases. The relationship between the Six meridian syndrome type and the disorder in the lipid and glucose metabolism is below:The Taiyang exterior syndrome is relatively mild, which mainly features a poor blood glucose control with a less serious disorder in lipid and glucose metabolism. In the Yangming meridian the heat concentrates, which is characterized as the increase in plasma Uric Acid and lipid, which is known as the draff in the blood. In the Shaoyang meridian the Heat slightly accumulates and dysfunction of acting is like a pivot, explaining the improving disorder in glucose metabolism, which performs as the over weight with the limited lipid changes. And in the Taiyin cross-section, the disturbance of spleen and stomach fuction and the indigestion that presents the accumulation of phlegm and dampness, lead to the disorder in lipid metabolism while the blood glucose becomes stable because of inappetence. Into the Shaoyin cross-section the Yang in the whole body is deficient as well as the Spleen function and it is too weak for the transportation and transformation, causing the further accumulation of phlegm and dampness, performing as the increased disorder in lipid metabolism and the affection on the liver. The Jueyin Disease had a further progress of the disease than the symptoms in Shaoyin meridian with a greater disorder in lipid and glucose metabolism. However, parts of the phenomenon needs a further investigation:the xerostomia and polydipsia on the patients with second-class hypertension; the symptoms such as xerostomia, polydipsia, bitter taste, weakness, non-restorative sleep, blurred vision, Slippery pulse, and the pale tongue with white or yellow coating led to the non-reaching-target 2hPG; and the symptoms included xerostomia, urinary foam, constipation, weight loss, the pale tongue with white coating led to a lower level in HDL-C. The further studies for clarification about the metabolism and the six meridian differentiation are expected.
