BackgroundIn recent years, with the increase of the pressure of life and work, the physique of young people gradually decline and Herpes zoster not only happen to the elderly. Obviously, it has been into the young people and the incidence increase year by year. At present, modern medicine more use antiviral, analgesia and nerve nutrition therapy, but the effect is not ideal, especially the incidence rate of Herpes zoster neuralgia is high which is the terrible place of the disease that patients need to endure the pain and may have heavy psychological burden, depression, sleep obstacle, low quality of life, and even the idea of suicide. The reason mainly is that such patients failed to be timely diagnosed and given treatment or they do not know a way of non-drug treatment like acupuncture. The previous research and clinical experience results show that, Professor Huang Shixi using the fire needle combined with cupping therapy has a definite therapeutic effect on the disease. Therefore, this paper aims to sum up in order to promote and confer benefits on patients.PurposeReview and summarize the academic thought and clinical experience of Professor Huang Shixi in the treatment of herpes zoster; To observe the effect of combined therapy in the treatment of acute herpes zoster with the milli fire needle, cupping, acupuncture and moxibustion; To promote and guide the patients with acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of herpes zoster.MethodFollowing the advisor visiting the patients; collecting 30 cases of patients with acute herpes zoster from November 2014 to May 2015; observing and record all patients cases and fill in the case report form; using statistical software SPSS 17.0 to analysis the general condition, influencing factors, the analgesic effect of acupuncture, the cessation time, the scabbing time and other comprehensive curative effect of the patient and the incidence of posterior neuralgia. Obtaining the first hand data of Professor Huang in the treatment of herpes zoster in acute phase and summarize the clinical experience and academic thoughts of his treatment of the disease.ResultUnder the guidance of traditional Chinese medicine theory, Professor Huang, combined with his own clinical experience, has accumulated a set of dialectical thinking of treatment of herpes zoster:1 Theoretical characteristics:combined disease and syndrome; based on syndrome differentiation of meridian, mutual reference of other dialectical method of academic thought; clinical attention of local point selection, addition and subtraction with the disease prescription; emphasizing early diagnosis and treatment; pay equal attention to the nursing; to further understanding of fire needle, cupping, acupuncture and moxibustion method with theoretical foundation for treating herpes zoster.2 Treatment ideas:differentiation of symptoms and signs for classification of syndrome:hepatochlic hygropyrexia or damp abundance due to splenic asthenia; Good analgesic effect after treatment; purging fire for removing toxin; activating meridians to stop pain; syndrome differentiation and distribution points with the addition and subtraction. Mainly using fire needle and cupping with proper acupuncture, moxa and nursing; pay attention to rest, light diet, drink plenty of water, and wear loose clothing.ConclusionIn this paper, by Summarizing professor Huang’s the academic thought and experience in the treatment of herpes zoster in acute stage and the results of the data obtained from clinical research and clinical research, the overall thinking and detailed methods of Professor Huang’s treatment of the disease can be reflected in general. To promote its study and application, it is conducive to clinical workers to broaden the treatment program and better treat herpes zoster which will bring the gospel to the patients.
