| Health behavior is the kind of behavior developed by the consolidation of proactive health habits and beneficial results, which is good for the health of individuals and groups. College is a significant period for the development of individuals’ lifestyles and health behaviors. Since the lifestyles and behaviors likely continue till your middle age or old age, they will have great influence on your whole life health condition. Therefore, there is a decisive significance for the understanding and intervention of university students’health behaviors. The purpose of the research is to provide new ideas in developing health behaviors and lifestyles and also provide empirical evidence for the health education.In the survey,420 college students of different demographic characteristics from five local universities in Kunming volunteered to answer the questionnaire through filling in the electronic forms. The survey covers three main parts, including personal health behaviors, individual achievement motivation and basic conditions. We did the survey through four dimensions of university students’. health behavior, namely learning-related behavior, personal habits, stress management and interpersonal support behavior; we did the personal achievement motivation survey through two dimensions: the pursuit of success and the avoidance of failure. Data were collected through questionnaires backend platform after screening qualified questionnaire, following by quantitative analysis, the statistical description of the current situation of college students’ health behaviors in four dimensions, and the variance analysis based on the demographic characteristics of the respondents. I did the correlation analysis of health behaviors and achievement motivation through Pearson. All statistical analyses were performed through the statistical software of SPSS20.0.According to the results of the research, we can see the average score of health behavior is 103.77 (out of 150 points). In general, the overall health behavior level of Kunming Students is middle and upper. The average score of four dimensions remains at 3 points or more (1 is the lowest,5 is the highest). Among these four dimensions, the part of interpersonal behavior gets the highest score and stress management gets the lowest, the remaining two in are personal habits and interpersonal behavior support in descending order. In the section of learning-related behavior, pharmaceutical students score significantly lower; in the part of stress management, boys are better than girls, boarders are better than non-boarding students; in the part of interpersonal behavior support, students for the "city" are significantly better than" township "and" rural "students. The motivation of pursuing success of 420 college students in Kunming is greater than the motivation to avoid failure. Great fluctuations indicate the great difference of achievement motivation among respondents.According to the results of survey, relevant departments should strengthen the interventions of college students’ health behavior, focusing on the development of stress management, rising up the interest of pharmaceutical students, creating a more effective interpersonal support environment for students from non-urban areas, developing students’ achievement motivation. In the meantime, combining with family education, we should improve university students’health behaviors through multi-dimension. |
