Objective Facial spasm (HFS), known as tic, refers to a side interrupted involuntary facial muscle cramps twitch or painless stiffness. Early onset of orbicularis oculi muscle of intermittent convulsions, slowly spread to the other side of the face facial gradually, after the quarrel muscle twitching in the most obvious, and serious when ipsilateral neck muscles can be affected. The subject to mentor the basis of the experience and experience in the clinical treatment of the disease, through the shallow needling inhibited points combined with moxibustion treatment of facial spasm, compared before and after treatment of facial spasm intensity and frequency, shallow needling inhibited point combined with the clinical curative effect of moxibustion treatment of facial spasm, provide more for clinical treatment of facial spasm of methods or means. Methods We select 26 clinical patients with comprehensive clinical data, all of which are from the Department of Rehabilitation and the Neurological Clinic at the Xiamen’s No.5 hospital. All patients diagnosed with hemifacial spasm are carefully screened and are subsumed under the exclusion criteria. The treatment options are as follows:Once a day, ten days for a course; two days off a course, a total of three courses of treatment. We record classification of intensity and frequency of before and after treatment of hemifacial spasm for each patient. After collecting and categorizing the data, we analyze the data by using the statistical analysis software SPSS 16.0 and then determine their statistical significance. Results After the treatment,9 patients are cured, which counts for 36% of all patients;the overall effciency is 92%.After Wilcoxon rank and inspection found before and after treatment in patients with facial spasm strength exists significant difference (P< 0.05), before and after treatment in patients with facial spasm frequency exists significant difference (p<0.05), before and after treatment in patients with aspects of neural function exists significant difference (p<0.05), orbicular muscle spasms and orbicularis oculi muscle spasms, half facial spasm there is no significant difference (p>0.05), and the orbicularis oculi muscle spasm compared with half facial spasm (p<0.05), with significant difference. Conclusion Using shallow needling inhibited points combined with moxibustion for treatment of hemifacial spasm is of exact clinical efficacy; Can effectively improve intensity of spasm in patients with facial spasm; Can effectively improve the seizure frequency in patients with facial spasm; Effectively improve the facial nerve function in patients with facial spasm; The treatment for simple eye muscle spasm than orbicularisoris muscle spasms and half facial spasm curative effect is good.lt has a high cure rate; it is safe, effective, convenient and practice; and it is worth of clinic use.
