Application Research Of The Shujin-wash Granules In Postoperative Rehabilitation Of Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction

ObjectiveBy observing the effect of Shujin-wash Granules combined with rehabilitation exercises in postoperative rehabilitation of Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction, we can study and analyze the efficacy and mechanism of this herbs, then finally find a simple and inexpensive method for the rapid recovery of knee joint function after ACL reconstruction.MethodsIn April 2015 to January 2016, we selected 60 cases of ACL ruptures patients from the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine who were in accordance with the inclusion criteria. They were randomly divided into treatment group and control group according to a random number table,30 cases each. The treatment group received 4 weeks of Shujin-wash Granules fumigation therapy combined with rehabilitation exercises after wound healing, while the control group was treated with the same rehabilitation training only.Swelling degree of knee joint, VAS score, Range of Motion and Lysholm score were observed and recorded in 2,4,6,12 weeks after surgery. We also recorded the time needed for returning to work after surgery. Finally we collected data and made statistical analysis.Results1.The swelling degree of knee joint, VAS score, Range of Motion, Lysholm score at 2 weeks after surgery and the general information of the two groups showed no significant difference (P＞0.05). The treatment group and the control group were comparable.2. There was a remarkable difference (P<0.05) in the swelling degree of knee joint, VAS score, Range of Motion, Lysholm score between the treatment group and the control group at 4 weeks and 6 weeks after operation. The treatment group was better than the control group.3. There was no significant differences (P>0.05) between the two groups after 12 weeks of operation.4. The time needed for returning to work in the treatment group was less than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).5. There were no adverse reactions in the whole study of the two groups.ConclusionShujin-wash Granules fumigation therapy combined with rehabilitation exercises can reduce the knee joint swelling and pain after ACL reconstruction, increase the activity of the knee joint, improve the function of knee joint, and shorten the recovery time. This rehabilitation scheme is safe and effective, and it is worth popularizing in clinic.
