TCM dietetic therapy has significant curative effect non-toxic side effects, and can satisfy the people to the pursuit of delicious, improve patient compliance, etc. This research which through the retrospective study to explore Chinese medicine diet therapy for chronic kidney disease creatinine and glomerular filtration rate and the effect provides a reference for guiding TCM diet for patients with chronic kidney disease.Methods:CKD3-5 for a questionnaire survey was conducted in dialysis patients who were treated in Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine on June 1,2015 to January 31,2016. After questionnaire survey, screening of eGFR< 60 ml/min/1.73 m2, ranging in age from 18 to 80 years old patients, eliminating clinical data missing or follow-up time less than half a year and complicated with severe medical problems. According to the questionnaire to understand the patients’diet condition of traditional Chinese medicine, through the outpatient service system and the hospital system to collect demographic data, disease, clinical features, laboratory index, traditional Chinese and western medicine. Results:This study included 126 patients, the median follow-up time of 127.68 (77.68,77.68) weeks. Comparison of traditional Chinese medicine therapy group, the difference was statistically significant in the first half of delta Scr and delta eGFR (p<0.05), there was no significant difference between one year and two years of delta Scr and delta eGFR. Comparison of non therapeutic group, two years of delta Scr and delta of eGFR difference is statistically significant, half a year and one year of delta Scr and delta there was no statistically significant difference of eGFR. Comparison of traditional Chinese medicine therapy group and non therapeutic group, there was no statistically difference with the delta of Scr and delta eGFR.Risk factors analysis, Analysis using Ratio Likelihood method in logistic regression. Model I, the risk of traditional Chinese medicine therapy is 0.46 times the non Chinese diet therapy (95%CL 0.221,0.968).In model II, compared to the Chinese diet and non Chinese diet group, the Chinese diet and traditional Chinese medicine decoction risk were 0.44 (95%CL 0.212,0.951) and 0.27 (95%CL 0.071,1.093).Statistical discovery of therapeutic medicinal herbs, flat and warm drugs accounted for the main body, the drugs most belong to the lung, kidney, spleen by three. Consumption of frequency statistics found that Yam appeared the most frequency, accounting for 57.58%.Conclusion:Dietary treatment plays an important role in delaying the progression of CKD. The Chinese diet has a long history, has certain advantages in the prevention and treatment of diseases, the treatment of CKD has been paid more and more attention. This study found that the eGFR of the patients in the therapeutic group of traditional Chinese medicine is more gentle, the change of eGFR in the non therapeutic group is more obvious.A multi factor analysis found that traditional Chinese medicine therapy is the protective factor of CKD. The therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine therapy on stabilizing the disease and delaying the progress of CKD.This study is a retrospective study, which is lack of data, patient recall bias, survey questionnaire design is not comprehensive, and so on. So still need large sample, the follow-up time longer prospective clinical study evaluates the effects of Chinese medicine diet for chronic kidney disease.
