Objective:Investigation of the relationship between the Tei index and coronary artery pathology, which give useful insight into the evaluation of their value in primary screening of coronary heart disease.Method:Collecting all of the basic information of 132 patients with the fulfilled admission standards. All of them are checked with coronary angiography. According to the suffering of coronary heart disease, these patients were divided into two groups: diabetic group (Group Ⅰ,64 cases) and coronary heart disease with diabetes mellitus group (Group Ⅱ,68). Choose another 66 cases of healthy people as control group. All the selected patients underwent cardiac figure measurement of Tei index. Using SPSS20.0 software for data statistics, with P< 0.05 sentence for the difference has statistical significance.Results:1) Compared with the control group, the indexes related to the blood lipid as well as blood glucose of group Ⅰ and group Ⅱ were higher than that of the control group (p<0.05).2) The comparison of Tei index of these three groups show that, the Tei for group Ⅰ and group Ⅱ were higher than the control group, and the group Ⅱ was higher than that of the group Ⅰ (p<0.05).3) The Tei index show significant different among the patients with different of the number of stenosed coronary vessel (p<0.05).Conclusions:1) To some degree, Tei index possess feasibility in primary screening whether patients with diabetes merged coronary heart disease.2) Tei index-based diagnosis shows values in predicting the coronary artery lesions in patients with coronary heart disease and diabetes mellitus.
