Yunnan-Tibet Plateau Officers And Health Literacy Status And Influencing Factors

Objective:To understand the basic situation and the level of Yunnan-Tibet Plateau soldiers’s health literacy,explore the factors of the Yunnan-Tibet Plateau soldiers’s health literacy,make the basis for further development of interventions to improve Tibet Plateau soldiers’s health literacy.Methods:Adopt multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling, three kinds of Yunnan and Tibet wild clan Army (infantry, armor, artillery) plateau officers 1857 people for the survey conducted health literacy survey. Topics covered include:basic information, basic knowledge and concepts, healthy lifestyles and behavior, health and other basic skills in four parts. In this study, Epi Data3.1 double data entry, test no difference after using SPSS 17.0 statistical software for data analysis.Use percentages and the total score to describe the level of Yunnan-Tibet plateau soldiers’s health literacy,with the Chi-square test to analyze differences between the characteristics of the group have differences in health literacy and use non-conditional Logistic regression to analyze the factors of health literacy.Result:1.Yunnan-Tibet Plateau soldiers have the health literacy ratio was 14.38%, which Yunnan plateau soldiers have health literacy ratio was 17.10%, Tibet plateaus oldiers have health literacy ratio of 11.65%. In basic health knowledge and ideas, healthy lifestyles and behavior, health literacy and other basic skills, Yunnan-Tibet Plateau soldiers have the ratio of the three areas were 29.29%,18.74%,21.22%. Yunnan plateau soldiers have health literacy ratio in three areas were 33.66%,22.90%, 26.77%, Tibet plateau soldiers have the ratio of the three areas were 24.92%,14.56%, 15.64%.In the scientific concept of health literacy, prevention of infectious diseases literacy, literacy chronic disease prevention, security and first aid literacy, basic health literacy,Yunnan-Tibet Plateau soldiers have the five health problems of health literacy rates were 78.51%,11.09%,22.99%,26.49%,20.19%. Yunnan plateau soldiers have the five health problems of health literacy rates were 80.75%,12.26%, 24.62%,31.29%,23.12%, Tibet plateau soldiers have the five health problems of health literacy rates were 76.27%,9.92%,21.36%,21.68%,17.26%.2. Chi-square test showed:Yunnan plateau soldiers have the ratio in health literacy, three areas of health literacy, and in the scientific view of health, safety and first aid, basic health literacy includes three types of health problems of health literacy is higher than Tibet plateau soldiers; artillery have the ratio in health three literacy and infectious diseases, chronic disease prevention, basic health literacy three types of health problems are higher than the ratio of infantry and armored forces; cadres have the ratio in health literacy, three areas of health literacy, and five types of health problems of health literacy higher than the ratio of NCOs and conscripts; tertiary and higher education soldiers have the ratio,in health literacy, health literacy in three areas and in infectious diseases, chronic disease prevention, security and first aid, basic health literacy includes four types of health problems of health literacy higher than junior high school and senior middle school soldiers;the military service= 6 years have the tatio in health literacy, three areas of health literacy, five types of health problems of health literacy higher than= 5 years soldiers; soldiers and men aged= 26 years have the tatio in health literacy.three areas of health literacy, five types of health problems of health literacy higher than the proportion aged= 25 years old soldiers; Han soldiers have the tatio in health literacy, health and basic knowledge of the concept of literacy, basic skills in literacy, scientific concept of health literacy, infectious disease prevention literacy, safety and first aid literacy, basic health literacy have higher than the ethnic minority soldiers; married soldiers have the tatio in health literacy, three areas of health literacy, five types of health problems of health literacy higher than unmarried soldiers.3. Logistic regression analysis showed that:factors affecting the health literacy has six factors that arms, title, education level, age, marital; factors affecting the health and basic knowledge of the concept of literacy has seven factors that areas, arms, title, education level, age, ethnicity, marital;factors affecting the healthy lifestyles and behavior literacy have five factors that area, arms, title, education level, age; factors affecting the basic skills of literacy have five factors that area, arms, title, education level, marital; factors affecting the scientific concept of health literacy have four factors that region, title, education level and nationality; factors affecting the infectious disease prevention and literacy have four factors that arms, position culture, marriage; factors affecting the chronic disease prevention literacy have three factors that arms, title, education level; factors affecting the safety and first aid have four factors that literacy area, title, education level, marital; factors affecting the basic health literacy have seven factors that area, arms, title, education level, age, ethnicity.Conclusion:1.The level of the Yunnan-Tibet Plateau soldiers’s health literacy are still insufficient, in line with a healthy lifestyle, basic literacy skills below the soldiers’s level about research; in the prevention of infection, safety and first aid, basic health literacy levels in five health issues also lower than the relevant residents and soldiers studied. In the future, health education and health promotion activities should focus more on lifestyle and behavior, basic skills, infectious diseases, chronic diseases, medical and other basic weaknesses of advocacy and education.2. Area, arms, title, education level, age, ethnicity, marital and other factors have an impact on the Yunnan-Tibet Plateau soldiers and health literacy, in future health education and health promotion activities should be based on the officers and men of different demographic characteristics, formulate targeted programs.3. Yunnan-Tibet Plateau soldiers and health literacy level of the Yunnan-Tibet Plateau have health soldiers and troops fighting a major impact, in order to raise the level of the Yunnan-Tibet Plateau health soldiers to ensure security force troops, Yunnan-Tibet Plateau soldiers should improve health literacy.
