Objective:To assess the relationship between mean platelet volume(MPV)and the acute coronary syndrome. Methods:In this study included 458 patients with chest pain, with 383 cases patients with ACS,75 patients with Non-ACS were completed in patients admitted to hospital with gender, age, body mass index (BMI), resting heart rate and whether have diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, smoking history and other basic information collection, the immediate admission to take a blood sample, using sysmex XE-2000 blood analyzer determine platelet parameters, all reagents for original form a complete set.Detection on an empty stomach blood biochemical indicators, using full automatic biochemical analyzer. All measurement are completed within 2 hours after blood.Compare the ACS group, the Non-ACS group between the two groups and the ACS group (group STEMI and NSTEMI, UA) MPV values have statistically, observe whether MPV is available as an independent predictor of ACS diagnosis. Results of coronary angiography in patients with all the ACS group Syntax score were used respectively to measure the coronary artery stenosis degree evaluation, according to the Syntax score results are divided into low group (0-22 points), group (23-32 points), in the high group (> 32 points), the platelet parameters and the Syntax score Spearman correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis.MPV value and ACS is associated with the degree of coronary artery stenosis.Results:1、Mean plate value in the ACS group was obviously higher than that of Non-ACS group, MPV value no statistical difference between the three groups (STEMI and NSTEMI, UA), MPV values can be used as an independent predictor of ACS diagnosis;2、Basic clinical data of 383 patients examined the measurement data analysis of variance and count the c2, Syntax low score group (0-22 points), group (23-32 points), in the high group (> 32 points) only resting heart rate statistical differences between the three groups (P<0.05), then through LSD-1 test are compared, and two low-risk and high-risk group, the moderate group and high-risk groups there are differences in the resting heart rate (P<0.05).By the measurement data analysis of variance, the platelet parameters comparison between three groups were no statistical differences (P >0.05).Conclusion:Mean platelet volume can be used as an independent predictor of acute coronary syndrome diagnosis, but mean platelet volume and coronary artery stenosis in patients with acute coronary syndromes have no significant correlation does not judge as the reference index of the severity of coronary artery lesions.
