| ObjectiveChronic fatigue syndrome has bacome one of the major problems of humen’s health in the 21st century. In this study, we chose the chronic fatigue syndrome patients of heart and spleen dificiency as the observation object, treated the patients with auricular plaster therapy combine with scientific Chinese medicine Guipi decoction, set the control group use cientific Chinese medicine Guipi decoction. Then observe the change of the symphtom scores, FS-14 scores and the health status scale scores (SF-36) before and after the treatment. To evaluate the clinical efficacy of this therapy.MethodsThis study totally chose 60 cases who diagnosed as chronic fatigue syndrome of heart and spleen deficiency. The patients were randomizedly divided into treatment group and control group, each group has 30 patients. The treatment group of 30 cases were treated with auricular point sticking combined with scientific Chinese medicine Guipi Decoction orally. Auricular acupoint selection:Shenmen, sympathetic, cortex, heart, spleen, and shenxin acupoint and happy acupoint, took the treatment each two days, bilateral ears alternate, totally treat four weeks; scientific Chinese medicine granules are from Taiwan Jiangyin heaven pharmaceutical company, took the granules one time a day for 4 weeks. The control group was just taking the scientific Chinese medicine granule.4 weeks later, we observed the change of symptom score, FS-14 score and SF-36 score to evaluate the clinical efficacy of the two groups. SPSS19.0 was used to analyze statistical data.Results1. The syndrome score comparison:before treatment, the syndrome score of treatment group was 16.76±1.03, while the control group was 16.24±0.96, the difference was not statistically significant. After 4 weeks of treatment, the treatment group’s syndrome score was 8.82+0.62, the control group was 12.19+0.75. Compared to 4 weeks before, the syndome score of both two group decreased significantly (P＜0.05), and the treatment group decreased more significantly. It indecate that both two methods can effectively improve symptoms of CFS patients, but the treatment group therapy was superior to the control group.2. FS-14 score comparison:before the treatment, the FS-14 score of two group was 11.78±1.97、11.32±1.68, there was no significant defference, it was comparable. After the treatment, the score was 4.48±1.27、6.97 ±1.53, compare to before treatment, the two groups’FS-14 score signdecreasedificantly, while the treatment group decreased much more than the control group. It showed that both two methods can improve the patients’ fatigue symphtom, but the treatment group was better than chotrol group.3. SF-36 scores comparison:before treatment, there was no difference of SF-36 score (include physiological and psychological integral) between the two groups. After the treatment, both two groups’total score, physiological and psychological integral increased, and the treatment group increased more significantly than control group. The research shows that two groups of therapy can effectively improve the patients’health, including mental and physical health, but the efficacy in the treatment group improved significantly than the control group.4. The effect comparison:after 4 weeks of therapy, in the treatment group, there was 1 cases completely cured,10 cases were significantly improved,16 cases were improved, and 3 cases with no-effective. While in the control group, there was no case completely cured,7 cases were significantly improved,15 cases were improved, and 8 cases with no-effective. The total effective rate in treatment group was 90.00%, while the control group was 73.33%, the treatment group’s effect was much better than control group (P＜0.05).ConclusionAuricular plaster therapy can regulate nerve balance, sedative and analgesic, dredges the channels and collaterals, regulate yin and Yang Qi and blood, physical fitness function. This study use auricular point sticking combined with scientific Chinese medicine granule to treat CFS of heart and spleen deficiency. The results showed that the therapy can effectively improve the chronic fatigue syndrome patients’ clinical symptoms, reduce fatigue, improve health. The therapy and has the advantages of simple operation, good compliance, it was worth promoting in the clinic. |
