ObjectiveThe project arms to study on the antipyretic effectiveness of herbal fumigation on foot to treating pediatrics exogenous fever, to anlysis the effect of herbal foot fumigation compared with the group of water foot fumigation, Eventually to find a safe and effective antipyretic method with good compliancemethod84 children of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of TCM, from 2015/03 to 2015/12 with inclusion criteria were divided into two groups according to the priority order of group,. Each group is 42 case that the odd is as the observation group, and the even as the control group, two groups were given routine anti-inflammatory, and antiviral treatment. When the axillary temperature were between 38.0℃ and 39.0℃, the observation group given children pyretolysis powder to fumigating foot, the control group given water to fumigating foot at the same conditions, Then recorded the temperature before therapy and after therapy 0.5h, 1.0h,2.0h,4.0h,6.0h, If the temperature rise over 39.0℃ again, both group will give Ibuprofen. Then, the temperature after therapy 0.5h,1.0h,2.0h, the frequency of taking ibuprofen and the frequency of the temperature rising at each period were compared.ResuItThe temperature of both groups after therapy 0.5h,1.0h,2.0h was lower than the temperature after therapy, and difference has the statistical significance(P< 0.05) using paired t test; The temperature decrease of the two groups had no significance after 0.5h,1. Oh using t-test but after therapy 2.Oh, the temperature decrease of observation group was lower than that of the control group, and has a statistically significant difference (P< 0.05);observation group were less than control group on frequency of using Ibuprofen and frequency of temperature rising at each period. the difference is statistically significant (P< 0.05).ConelusionAt the side of effect on antipyretic, herbal foot fumigation have the features that the antipyretic time last longer, body temperature is not easy to rise and can reduce the frequency of use of antipyretic analgesics. Because this method is safe, effective, without obvious toxic and side effects and good compliance of children, It is a good method of antipyretic, worthy of application and promotion.
