Objective:To investigate the influence factors of wrist pain after conservative treatment of distal radius fractures, and get the correlation through sta tistical analysis, which provides theory basis and objective data for clin ical treatment of distal radius fractures by screening a number of clinic al cases and collecting the relevant data. Methods:The data of the patients who meet its standard were analyzed in this retrospective study. And then dividing into two group by the pain of the w rist:Group A(wrist pain more than a mouth after fracture healing);Group B (wrist without pain or the pain duration less than one mouth after fractu re healing). Then to analyze the correlation between the wrist pain and th e influence factors by recording type of fracture, age, gender, combined uln ar styloid fracture, combined dislocation of distal radioulnar joint and m easuring the palmar tilt, ulnar deviation and radial height after removing the external fixator by using the small splint or plaster. Results:There were 112 cases(Group A 34 cases and Group B 78 cases) of distal radius fractures with conservative treatment admitted in our hospital fr om May 2014 to May 2015. Single factor analysis showed that there were no correlation between wrist pain and palmar tilt loss, combined dislocation of distal radioulnar joint, age, gender (P>0.05), while there were correlat ion between wrist pain and radial shortening, ulnar deviation loss, type of fracture, combined ulnar styloid fracture (P<0.05).Binary Logistic regres sion analysis showed that there were correlation except for combined ulna r styloid fracture in the latter. The interaction strength of the independ ent factors were as following:radial shortening, ulnar deviation loss, type of fracture. Conclusion:Radial shortening, ulnar deviation loss, type of fracture were the independent factors of wrist pain after fracture healing of distal radius fractures with conservative treatment in this study. When attend to one t hing and lose another in the process of manual reduction, we should give p riority to the restoration of radial height and ulnar deviation, and choos e surgical treatment for the comminuted fractures with intra-articular in volvement. So we could reduce the incidence rate of chronic wrist pain and obtain the best therapeutic effect by selective treatment.
