Background and AimsHyperlipidemia is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease and metabolic abnormalities, including atherosclerosis, obesity and metabolic syndrome, and so on. Due to high rates of hyperlipidemia, relevant cholesterol-lowering drugs become the study hotspot.Studies have confirmed that benzoxazine compounds can adjust the concentration of plasma lipoprotein, reduce blood lipid, But there is no further research on the mechanism of this compound. Benzoxazine compounds don’t have clinical application and related clinical research. These compounds may have great damages and side effects to liver cells. Thus limit their research and application. To study the effects of three kinds of benzoxazine compounds on the growth of HepG2 cells. And determine whether these compounds have toxicities on hepatocytes.MethodsHepG2 was incubated with different concentrations of benzoxazine(lu M,10uM,50uM,75uM,100uM) and without benzoxazine for 24h respectively. The proliferation rate of HepG2 was determined by CCK-8 assay. The morphological changes of HepG2 were observed with inverted fluorescence microscope. With the Muse cell analyzer count.ResultsCCK8 assay indicated that the proliferation rate of HepG2 among different dose groups was significantly reduced compared with control group, except the group whose concentration was luM.HepG2 significantly inhibited the proliferation of HepG2 in a dose-dependent manner. After acridine orange staining, inverted fluorescence microscope showed the morphological changes of HepG2.The result of Muse cell analyzer shows that the count changes were more significant as the concentration increased.Conclusionbenzoxazine has inhibitory effect on cell proliferation of HepG2 cells, speculated that drugs may have toxic and side effects on the HepG2 cells.
