Investigation On The Defibrillator Allocation And Application Status In Suzhou First-level Hospitals

Objective Through investigating on the allocation and application status of defibrillator in Suzhou first-level hospitals,the objective of this study was to provide basis for first-aid knowledge and operation skill training to the medical staffand from primary hospital and provide document for medical administrative department to implement and improve the standardized allocation and application level of defibrillator.Methods Suzhou Emergency and First-aid Quality Control(clinic)Center formulated the Defibrillator Application Check List for Primary Hospital and Evaluation Standard of Heart Defibrillator.From November 27 th to 29 th,2013 and November 26 th to 28 th,2014,a supervisor expert group organized by Suzhou Health Bureau checked the defibrillator allocation status of Suzhou first-level hospitals.The supervisor experts randomly examined the heart defibrillator knowledge and operation procedure of emergency and first-aid medical staff.On basis of the examination,supervisor experts proposed rectification suggestions.Results(1)In 2013 and 2014,the investigated first-level hospital number was 137,and 133 hospitals were investigated twice.(2) The defibrillator allocation rate of Suzhou first-level hospitals in 2013 and 2014 were 59.9% and 64.2%.The allocation rate was related with the hospital geographical position,profit/non-profit and annual outpatient quantity.The total of defibrillator was 98 and 113 separately.(3)The integrity rate of defibrillator detection and usage registration in 2013 and 2014 were 45.1% and 69.3%.The defibrillator available proportion were 58.2% and 69.9%.All datas were related to the hospital geographical position.(4)The examination score of heart defibrillator knowledge and defibrillator usage evaluation of emergency department physician in the primary hospitals were 90(86, 95) and 90(84, 95),and the score of nurses were 89(69, 95) and 90(76, 95).The difference before and after had no significant difference(P > 0.05).The examination achievements of four urban districts hospitals in Suzhou and public hospitals were higher than five county hospitals and private hospitals.(5)Comparing the differences before and after two years,Zhangjiagang city had obvious improvement,while Wujiang city fell behind apparently.The attention to the first-level hospitals paid by local medical administrative management department has influence to the primary medical level.Conclusions(1)The defibrillator allocation and usage level is still to be improved in Suzhou first-level hospitals.(2)The emergency medical staff in Suzhou first-level hospitals need to be trained with systematic first-aid knowledge and skills.
