ObjectiveTo discuss the clinical characteristics of colon cancer and analyze the correlation between the factors, provide a better reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment of colon cancer.MethodsCollect and retrospectively analyze the clinical data of colon cancer which were diagnosed by pathology of Yanbian University Hospital in January 2006 to December 2015.Results1. Among 861 cases of colon cancer patients in the year 2006 to 2015, the average age of onset was 63.25±11.54 years old. The proportion of male patients to female patients was 1.57:1, and the ratio of Korean-Chinese to Han nationality was 1.07:1.2. The number of the patients with abdominal pain^ abdominal distension and constipation was the largest (28.0%), Sigmoid colon cancerstands a high proportion of colon cancer(61.9%), there were 29.7%of the patients suffered intestinal obstruction, 41.2% of the patients suffered anemia, and 93.7% of the patients received surgical treatment.3. There were 812 patients of colon cancer with complete clinical pathological data. There were 42.6% of the patients with lymph node metastasis, and 14.3% of the patients with distant metastasis. The proportions of clinicopathological stages from stage I to stage IV were 0.5%、54.8%、30.4%、14.3% respectively. The average diameter of the tumor was 5.12±2.39cm. The most common tumor pathological characteristics of these cases was ulcerative type (81.5%)、moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma (78.6%), and the ratio of invasion to outer layer of serous membrane reached 63.2%.4. There were statistical differences of colon cancer in age of onset、clinical symptoms、intestinal obstruction depth of tumor infiltration and treatment between the patients with colon cancer of different years (P< 0.05). There were statistical differences in clinical symptoms and intestinal obstruction between the patients with colon cancer of different ages (P<0.05). There were statistical differences in clinical symptoms、histological type and clinicopathological stage between the patients with colon cancer of different sex (P< 0.05). The patients with colon cancer of different tumor location had statistical differences in sex、clinical symptoms、intestinal obstruction、tumor size and histological type (P<0.05). There were statistical significant differences in sex、tumor size、tumor location、histological type、metastasis and clinicopathological stage between the patients of colon cancer with anemia and without anemia (P<0.05)Conclusion1. The clinicopathological characteristics of colon cancer patients of Yanbian University Hospital in recently 10 years were that the average age of onset distribution tends to aging, the average age of onset was 63.25±11.54 years old. The number of male patients was more than that of female patients and the number of Korean-Chinese was more than that of Han nationality. The patients with abdominal pain、abdominal distension and constipation was the most. Left-sided colon cancer was more than the right-sided one, the number of sigmoid colon cancer was the highest. The average diameter of the tumor was 5.12±2.39cm. Ulcerative type and moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma was the most common histological type. Clinicopathological stage Ⅱ was more common than other stages. The majority of the patients were accepted radical operation.2. In recent five years, the number of the patients with colon cancer had been increased, the age of onset presented a aging trend, the incidence rate of intestinal obstruction had been increased, tumor infiltration depth has been deepen; elderly patients and left-sided colon cancer were prone to intestinal obstruction; the tumor diameter of right-sided colon cancer prefer to be larger and low degree of differentia-tion.3. Female patients have low degree of differentiation late clinicopathological stage and were prone to suffer anemia; the one with larger tumor diameter、low degree of differentiation、lymph node metastasis、distant metastasis and late clinicopatholo-gical stage of colon cancer are prone to suffer anemia.
