Background:Breast cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed malignancies in female population worldwide. In China, according to the recent domestic cancer statistical data, the incidence of breast cancer, has been ranked to the second top. Thanks to the development of hormone therapy against hormone receptor positive and target therapy against human epidermal receptor-2 positive tumors, the mortality of breast cancer has been reduced somehow.Today,it has been well established that tumors with the same immuno-histochemical types might result in the different prognosis. The therapeutic effects of chemotherapy on cancer progress varies significantly.Despite advance in cancer molecular biology, the mechanism underlying the heterogeneous behavior of breast cancer remains poorly elucidated.Molecular classification of breast cancer does contribute to specific management and treatment, which has also been greatly improved. In the current invasive breast cancer, the type of over-expressed HER-2 has been applied to individual treatment.Human epidermal growth factor receptor-2(HER-2)has been known as an important prognostic indicator of breast cancer.Currently, target drugs against breast cancer have been introduced to clinical practice,Herceptin,Lapatinib and T-DM1 and so on.These agents can significantly improve the overall survival of patients diagnosed with HER-2 positive invasive breast cancer.Over-expression of HER-2gene is related to the onset and development of tumor.Malignant neoplasms are multifactorial,multi-step effect that take place through a series of gene expression changes. In recent years, with the growing deep understanding of breast cancer,ER PR HER-2 Ki67 and other biomarkers for the breast cancer have attracted more attention.Age,tumor size, tissue grade, lymph node metastasis, vascular tumor thrombosis were established as in dependent hazard factors for the breast cancer susceptibility.Exploring its expression and mutual relationship is not only to better understand the occurrence, development and biological behavior of breast cancerbut also is of great clinical significance to diagnosis, treatment and prognosis. Objective:To study the correlation between HER-2 expression and certain clinicopathologic characteristics of breast cancer. Methods:We collected the breast cancer cases from January 2014 to October 2016,the second hospital of Jilin University.462 cases were admitted to meet the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria of breast cancer patients. After surgery, were pathologic examination.Specific classifications of age, primary tumor size, histologic grade, number of lymph node metastases,ER,PR,Ki67 and vessel thrombosis. To discuss the correlation between HER-2 and clinicopathological features.Results:462 case of breast cancer,HER-2 over-expression of 123 cases,HER-2negative of 393 cases.Age:?35 are 27 cases,>35,?60 are 333 cases,>60 are 102 cases.Tumor diameter:T1(?2)are 225 cases,T2(>2,?5)are 208 cases,T3(>5)are29 cases.Histological grade: grade ? are 14 cases, grade ? are 376 cases, grade? are 72 cases.Lymph node metastases,N0 are 252 cases,N1 are 121 cases,N2 are 56 cases,N3 are 33 cases.ER positive are 327 cases, negative are 135 cases.PR positive are 265 cases, negative are 197 cases.,Ki67?14% are 24 cases,>14 %are438 cases.Vascular thrombosis are 75 cases,387 cases are not infiltrated.Conclusion:1.Tumor size, histological grade,ER,PR,vascular thrombosis and HER-2expression are correlated.Especially, tumor size, histological grade, vascular thrombosis and HER-2 expression are correlated positively,ER,PR and HER-2expression are correlated negatively.2.There exist no correlation between the age,the number of lymph node metastasis and the expression of HER-2.3.Clarification of the relationship between HER-2 and clinicopathological factors is of great significance in selecting the best treatment regimen and predicting prognosis.
