Research On The Correlation Between Acupuncture Induction And SEP Based On The Sasang Constitutional Medicine Theory

Objectives:Based on the theory of the Sasang Constitutional Medicine, through the experiment which measured somatosensory evoked potential (SEP) by stimulating median nerve with electronic, and the acupuncture experiment, combined with the results of sasang constitution classification, observated and analysed the Nerve conduction characteristics and sensitive meridian and acupoints of each Sasang constitution.Discuss the different constitution’s specificity of meridian acupoint and the characteristics of central conduction, and master it. Furthermore, to proof of the relationship between acupuncture and physical induction meridian viscera, promote the development of the Sasang constitution classification and the diagnosis and treatment.Method:Laboratory maintenance room temperature of 26 degrees Celsius, moderate humidity. Things like cell phone which could affect the experimental result, are closed and kept quiet through experiment process.1) The subjects were 319 volunteers from the healthy adult Yanbian University students, there were no nervous system disease and related history, among which 143 were male and 176 were female, Age 17-36 years old.(mean age 21.36 years)2) Which should prepare before the experiment starts is, include the surveys(personal appearance, temperament, habits and customs related to project) which seriously filled in by the volunteers and pictures(head shot and the front, side, back of the whole body) taken in the natural light.3) The surveys and the pictures are used by numbers of experts to analyze each volunteer’s constitutions.4) The SEP test was conducted on 319 subjects. During the detection, the experimenters take place side and keep quiet, binocular light closed, the body naturally relax. The data of SEP were measured by electrical stimulation of the median nerve in each of the subjects.5) Detect the median nerve SEP, recorded from the onset of stimulus to the induced component between the conduction time and wave amplitude and etc.6) According to the results, collated data to analysis and compare the Central conduction time and difference of nerve conduction between left and right sides7) We selected 319 volunteers in 92 healthy subjects of experimental acupuncture. Among them,42 were male and 50 were female, aged 19-28 years (mean age was 22.06 years).8) During the acupuncture experiment, subjects take the seat, and keep quiet, relaxed body, select the Zusanli and Yanglingquan, strictly carry out the experiment of acupuncture under the guidance of teachers.9) Observe the reaction of experimenter after the acupuncture Deqi. Separate them to local and conduction, and statistics, processing and analysis of the above data. Observe the characteristics of central nervous conduction time and the relationship between four constitutions and characteristics of acupuncture induction. To explore the relationship between the internal environment and the acupuncture induction and the central nerve conduction caused by different types of Zangju.Result:SEP detection:①There were statistically significant (P<0.01) differences in body weight between each constitution in 318 volunteers,body weight of Taiyin people is heavier than Shaoyin people. In height, age groups in each quadrant were statistically no significant difference (P>0.05).②Comparison of SEP parameters between the four constitutions. The N13 wave and N20 wave data of Taiyin people is longer than other groups, but there was no significant difference in Statistics (P>0.05).③ The parameters of right body peak interval Taiyin people extended to the left, there was a statistically significant difference (P<0.05).Acupuncture Experiment:Comparison between each group four constitutions, sense of conduction in the right Yanglingquan, which of Taiyin people was significantly lower than that of the Shaoyang people, statistically have significant difference(P<0.01).Conclusion:1. The characteristics of SEP:The right N13 wave and N20 wave of Taiyin people is more extended than left in peak interval. (P<0.05)2. The characteristics of the induction of acupuncture:On the right side of the Yanglingquan acupuncture point, sense of conduction of Taiyinren is lower than that of Shaoyang people (P<0.01).3.Taiyin people duo to xue zhuo qi se and physical characteristics of quiet, leading to the nerve conduction time have significant difference; Shaoyang people due to the yang side wins, action without desire to static, resulting in acupuncture conduction are higher than those of Taiyin people.
