The Medical Institutions And The Contention Of Medical Control In The Yanbian Zone In The Late Qing Dynasty And The Early Republic Of China

In the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, the Korean society of the Yanbian zone gradually formed, Japan regarded "Jiandao issue" as an excuse and actively intervented the Yanbian zone in 1907, in particular, after Korea became a colony of Japan in 1910, the jurisdiction of "Jiandao Korean" became the focus of contention between China and Japan. Because the health administrative system of China was not mature at that time, the medical and health condition of the Yanbian zone was very backward, Chinese local governments、Japan、personal and social groups of Yanbian zone actively started to set up the medical institutions, in order to safeguard national sovereignty, China and Japan spread the fierce competition around the medical control of the Yanbian zone.China and Japan competed for the medical control of the Yanbian zone,in this process, it presents the overall trend, the medical control was held by China in the early 20th century; Japan implemented the colonial medical strategy to draw people, the medical strength of China and Japan was same in the 1910s;Japan mastered the medical control of the Yanbian zone in the 1920s. The contention of medical control between China and Japan, substantially was the contention of administrative jurisdiction in the Yanbian zone, namely the contention of national sovereignty. China and Japan competed to set up the medical institutions and competed for the medical control,it had a profound impact. It objectively improved the medical standards of Yanbian zone, and produced an impellent role on the development of modern medical and health undertakings in this area, however Japan actually mastered the medical control of the Yanbian zone, attempting to interfere in the national sovereignty of China, and planted hidden danger to further invaded the Northeast China.Through a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the medical institutions in the Yanbian zone, this paper summarizes the characteristics,essence and influence, thus intensive studying the medical and health condition of the Yanbian zone and the complicated insider, in the meantime, it makes people acutely aware of the importance of medical and health services, learning from history, we should adhere to safeguard the independence and integrity of national sovereignty.
