Objective:To observe the energy metabolism along the conception vessel(CV) in volunteers with mild constitution, yin-deficiency constitution and yang-deficiency constitution under normal condition, and to explore the relationship of human meridian energy metabolism and body constition; To compare to the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) at Zhongwan(CV 12) on the energy metabolism along the conception vessel(CV) in volunteers with mild constitution, yin-deficiency constitution and yang-deficiency constitution, and to explore the relationship of electroacupuncture regulation and body constitution.Methods:Twenty volunteers with mild constitution,20 volunteers with yang-deficiency constitution and 17 volunteers with yin-deficiency constitution were collected out of students of Fujian University of TCM by body constitution questionnaire. Skin microcirculatory blood perfusion units(MBPU) at Danzhong(CV17),Xiawan(CV 10) and Qihai(CV 6) of CV were measured by a laser Doppler flowmetry in normal condition and after EA stimulation at zhongwan(CV 12) for 20 min. Before and after EA stimulation the skin average temperature from Tiantu(CV 22) to Qihai(CV 6) and skin temperature at Danzhong(CV17), Xiawan(CV 10), Qihai(CV 6) besides the Infrared radiant track along meridian course (IRRTM) in volunteers with mild constitution, yin-deficiency constitution and yang-deficiency constitution were detected by Infrared thermal imager.Results:1. The feature of Skin MBPU values along the conception vessel(CV) in volunteers with mild constitution group, yin-deficiency constitution group and yang-deficiency constitution group.(1) Under normal condition, ①In mild constitution group, MBPU values of Danzhong(CV17) and xiawan(CV 10) were higher than that of Qihai(CV 6)(both P<0.01).②As for yin-deficiency constitution group, the feature of Skin MBPU values was similar to that of yang-deficiency constitution group. ③About the three acupoints in the yang-deficiency constitution group, MBPU result of Danzhong(CV17) was lower than the value of xiawan(CV 10), but higher compared with Qihai(CV 6)((P<0.05, P<0.01), MBPU of Xiawan(CV 10) was higher than Qihai(CV 6) as well(P<0.01).(2) Under normal condition, ①MBPU level at Danzhong(CV 17) in yang-deficiency constitution was higher than the mild constitution group(P<0.01). ②As for the yin-deficiency constitution group, MBPU result of Danzhong(CV 17), Xiawan(CV 10) were higher than those in the yang-deficiency constitution group(P<0.01, P<0.05).(3) After EA stimulation at Zhongwan(CV 12) for 20 min, ①MBPU values of Danzhong(CV17), Xiawan(CV 10) and Qihai(CV 6) were increased apparently, compared with those before treatment in the mild constitution group and yang-deficiency group[all P<0.01, excepct Danzhong(CV17) of the mild constitution(P<0.05)]. ②MBPU values in the yin-deficiency group were significantly decreased at the Danzhong(CV 17), Xiawan(CV 10) and Qihai(CV 6), compared with pre-stimulation(P<0.05).(4) After EA stimulation at Zhongwan(CV 12) for 20 min, ①MBPU values at Danzhong(CV 17), Xiawan(CV 10) and Qihai(CV 6) in the mild constitution group and yang-deficiency group mainly showed a tendency to rise, compared with pre-stimulation. MBPU rising acupoints of yang-deficiency constitution group was more obvious than the mild constitution group(P<0.05). ②About the three acupoingts in the yin-deficiency constitution group mainly showed a downward trend, compared with pre-stimulation. MBPU rising acupoints of yin-deficiency constitution group showed a significant difference, compared with the mild constitution group and the yang-deficiency constitution group(P<0.01).2. The feature of cutaneous temperature values along the conception vessel(CV) in volunteers with mild constitution group, yin-deficiency constitution group and yang-deficiency constitution group.(1) Under normal condition, ①Skin temperature level of Danzhong(CV17) was higher than that of Xiawan(CV 10) and Qihai(CV 6) in the mild constitution group(P<0.05, P<.01). ②n the yin-deficiency constitution group and yang-deficiency constitution group, the skin temperature at Danzhong(CV17) was higher than that of Qihai(CV 6)(P<0.05, P<0.01).(2) Under normal condition, ①Skin average temperature result from Tiantu(CV 22) to Qihai(CV 6) and temperature at Danzhong(CV 17), Xiawan(CV 10), Qihai(CV 6) in yin-deficiency constitution group were higher than those in the yang-deficiency constitution group(all P<0.05, but Qihai P<0.01).(3) After EA stimulation at Zhongwan(CV 12) for 20 min, Skin average temperature level from Tiantu(CV 22) to Qihai(CV 6) and Skin temperature level at Danzhong(CV 17), Xiawan(CV 10), Qihai(CV 6) in the mild constitution group and yang-deficiency group mainly showed a tendency to rise, comparison between the two groups was not statistical significance(P>0.05), ②bout the connection from Tiantu(CV 22) to Qihai(CV 6) and three acupoingts in the yin-deficiency constitution group mainly showed a downward trend. Temprtature rising lines and acupoints of yin-deficiency constitution group showed a significant difference compared with the yang-deficiency constitution group(P<0.01). And temperature of rising acupoint in yin-deficiency constitution had a significant difference(P<0.01), compared with the mild constitution group.3. The feature of the conception vessel(CV) Infrared radiant track along meridian course (IRRTM) in volunteers with mild constitution, yin-deficiency constitution and yang-deficiency constitution(1) Under normal condition, the comparison of IRRTM occurrence frequency along the conception vessel(CV) in volunteers with mild constitution, yin-deficiency constitution and yang-deficiency constitution was not statistical significance. Compared to the other group, the conception vessel(CV) IRRTM in mild constitution volunteers was the most continuous and longest. As for yin-deificiency constitution group, the IRRTM along the conception vessel(CV) was wider but less clear with its surrounding tissues compared to the mild constitution group. While IRRTM of yang-deficiency constitution group along the conception vessel(CV) was the shortest compared with the other group.(2) IRRTM along the conception vessel(CV) lengthened by EA stimulation in part of volunteers of mild constitution group and yang-deficiency group, especially for the mild constituting group. While for volunteers who could display the conception vessel(CV) IRRTM, EA stimulation could make it continuous and regular.(3) Isotherm of low temperature which followed conception vessel(CV) IRRTM was induced by EA stimulation at Zhongwan(CV 12) in part of volunteers of yin-deficiency constitution group, and it mainly distributed around Danzhong(CV 17).Conclusion:(1) Under normal condition, MBPU and skin temperature level along the conception vessel(CV) had a downward trend from top to bottom in the mild constitution group and yin-deficiency constitution, but the latter was higher than the fomer. As for the yang-deficiency constitution group, MBPU and skin temperature values along the conception vessel(CV) were lower than those in the mild constitution group and yin-deficiency group, especially obvious for Danzhong(CV 17).(2) EA stimulation at Zhongwan(CV 12) can rise the skin MBPU values of the conception vessel(CV) in mild constitution group and yang-deficiency constitution group, but reduce it in yin-deficiency constitution group, which explains the bidirectionally regulating effect of EA stimulation. EA regulating effect relates to TCM Construction, and it depends on the state of human body function.(3) IRRTM which existed commonly over the human body surface is a kind of normal life phenomenon. subject of different constitution of TCM may have different IRRTM chatacteristics. Acupuncture may have different responses to IRRTM in different subjects. There is a close relationship between IRRTM and the functional regulation of the human body.
