Objective: Firstly, this secondary systematically reviewed the available literature for evidence of effectiveness of interventions that aim to improve the motor performance of children with developmental coordination disorder(DCD). So as to find a comprehensive intervention for these children. And then use the EI theory to design the individual project of intervention. Moreover, exanmine the effectness in the practice. It will lay the foundation for implementing intervention widely toward children with DCD in the future.Method: Included were all studies published between 1995 and 2015 that described a systematic review,(randomized) clinical trial, or crossover design about the effect of motor intervention in children with DCD. Forty one studies met the inclusion criteria for the review.Interventions were coded under three types:(1) task-oriented intervention,(2) process-oriented therapies, and(3) medical supplements. And we.evaluate these articals through Levels of Evidence Oxford and PEDro. In intervention study, eight children were recruited from a maternal and child care service centre throught the testing of Movement Assessment Battery for Children and Gesell. We will emphasize on describing situation of two children whose name are Xinxin and Zhuangzhuang We use the self-control children basic information questionnaire to collect the basic information of family, birth, use the strength and difficulty questionnaire to collect the information of five aspects including emotional symptoms, conduct problems, hyperactivity/inattention, peer relationship problems, and prosocial behavior. In addition, we comprehend the situation of ability of children daily living by interviewing method. Then design the intervention project based on the collected informations and the theories of Ecological Intervention. Finally the children with DCD accept the treatment of intervention which combined the hospital and family. Results: 1 In the portion of systematice review, the level of all the studies included are in the minddle and above. A comparison between classes of intervention showed strong effects for task-oriented intervention, whereas that for process-oriented intervention was weak and treatment with methylphenidate was middle.2. From the results of quanity, we know that performance of Xinxin and Zhuangzhuang have improved(P2 up to 37, p16 up to P50), gross motor performence like the ability of aming&catching and balance of Xinxin and Zhuangzhuang have been improved(aming&catching: P5 up to P16 and P25 up to P75 respectively, balance: P5 up to P25 and P37 up to P91 respectively). The same as the Xinxin’s manual dexterity(P2 up to P50). However, the manual dexterity of Zhuangzhuang showed decline(decline to P37 from P16).3. In addition, from the results of qualitative, we realized that both of the fine motor and gross motor performance have been developed and perform well in daily life.Whatever, non-motor-factors of children have been declined after intervention. Conclusion: 1 Task-oriented intervention is the most effective methord for children with DCD to improve their motor performance, much better than process-oriented therapies.2 In the early stage of children’s development, Ecological Intervention for children is effective to improve the motor skills and motor performance of daily life.3. There are several factors affect the effectness of intervention for children with DCD. Including the continuity of intervention, how difficult the intervention is, the children’s capacity, the enviremental of the intervention and so on. |
