The tumble often harms the elderly and the patients with lower extremity concerning illness. The motor dyfunction of lower extremity is one of the most important factors leading to the tumble. So the rehabilitation of lower limb movement disorder is very important. The recovery can be divided into two parts:treatment and evaluation. The present research is mainly focused on the comparsion of spatiotemporal parameters between healthy subjects and patients. But besides the spatiotemporal parameters, gait varibility and other kind of parameters also contain a large amount of informations. Different kinds of parameters have different characteristics, so a selection criterion is significant. On the other aspect, the existing rehabilitation system based on gait analysis, usually separated in treatment and assessment, lacking a real-time dynamic evaluation of the training process. To address these issues, this study is to research the five kinds of gait parameters to find their features based on the gait analysis technology, then tell the differences between the patients and the normal to get the parameters have obvious difference. The study establish an index to judge the varibility and a score to evaluate the gait, and finally propose a system for real-time training and evaluation.The contributions of this work are summarized as follows:1. Introduce the computing method to get the gait parameters using an electronic walking mat.2. Design an experiment to collect the data and execute the experiment. Analyze the statistical significance between the age and sex of the normal and the patient. Do the correlation analysis in gai parameter and the age. Study the differences between the normal and the patients, get a conclusion of gait parameter selection criterion3. Propose agait variability index to measure the distance between the normal and the patients.4. Propose a score judging system,to give the diagnosis.5. Build a real-time system for treatment and evaluation based on the body area network and with the usage of technology of Functional Electrical Stimulation..The main innovations of this study are as below:1. Draw a conclusion of gait parameter selection criterion.2. A gait variability index was proposed to measure the difference of gait variability between the healthy and the motor functional disorder, and it is used to give a diagnosis.3. A synthetical score method is build to give people a diagnosis.4. A real-time synchronization system based on body area network for gait rehabilitation training and assessment is proposed.
