Objective To explore the changes of blood pressure and its influence factors in patients with primary hypertension during Submaximal exercise Methods 97 patients with stage 1 or 2 essential hypertension( hypertension group) and 79 healthy subjects(normal control group) were enrolled from May 2014 to December 2015. Submaximal exercise treadmill test and brachial-ankle arterial pulse wave velocity(ba PWV)were measured in each subjects.ba PWV is regarded as index of the arterial elasticity.Observed changes of blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension during Submaximal exercise and the relationship of Submaximal exercise systolic blood pressure and resting blood pressure by linear correlation analysis. Application of multiple stepwise regression analysis the relationship of Submaximal exercise systolic blood pressure and other factors, such as gender, age, blood lipids, family history, ba PWV,et al.Application ROC curve to predict the diagnostic value of submaximal exercise systolic blood pressure on arterial elasticity. Results 1.The patients with essential hypertension compared with compared with the normal subjects that is not significant differences(P>0.05) in the proportion of male, smoking, BMI and fasting blood glucose but is significant differences(p<0.05)in Age, family history,TC,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C and ba PWV. 2.Submaximal exercise systolic blood pressure of the patients with essential hypertension is higher(190.98±13.35 mm Hg vs.137.14±12.88 mm Hg,p<0.05)and increase range is higher((39.01 ± 11.38 mm Hg vs. 21.49 ± 9.28 mm Hg,p<0.05),compared with normal subjects. 3.Linear correlation analysis showed that there was linear correlation(r=0.584,P<0.05)between Submaximal exercise systolic blood pressure and resting systolic blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension. 4.Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that submaximal exercise systolic blood pressure related with resting blood pressure, family history, ba PWV, LDL-C and HDL-C in patients with essential hypertension. 5.When the cut off point of Submaximal exercise systolic blood pressure in diagnosing arterial stiffness was 182 mm Hg,the corresponding Youden index was the biggest and the area of under the ROC curve was 0.923. Conclusion 1.Exercise blood pressure respond with essential hypertension is higher than normal subjects. 2.Submaximal exercise systolic blood pressure closely related with resting blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension. 3.resting blood pressure, family history, ba PWV, LDL-C and HDL-C are independent risk factors of Submaximal exercise systolic blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension. 4.Submaximal exercise systolic blood pressure has diagnostic value to arterial stiffness the in patients with essential hypertension.
