Objective:To analyze the risk factors and its clinical significance of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) in patients with chronic hepatitis C(CHC).Methods:S elected 153 patients with chronic hepatitis C in wards and outpatient clinics of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from June 2012 to June 2015.The patients wered divided into the case group(64 cases) and the control group(89 cases) depending on the diagnosis of NAFLD.Compared with age,gender,n-ationality,course,smoking history, hypertension history, body mass index(BMI),waist ci-rcumference,hepatitis C virus(HCV)RN A virus load,HCV genotype, fasting blood glu-cose(FBG),fasting insulin(FINS),insulin resistance index(IRI),alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),total bilirubin(TBIL),direct bilirubin(DBIL),albumin(ALB),lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),alkaline phosphatase(ALP),γ- glutamyl transfer-ase(GGT),triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC), high density lipoprotein(HDL),low d-ensity lipoprotein(LDL),uric acid of the two groups.Logistic regression were applied to analysis the independent risk factors of N AFLD in patients with C HC.Results:There were statistically significant differences in twelve indicators, including course,s-moking history,BMI,waist circumference,HCV genotype,FINS,IRI,ALB,ALP,GGT,TG and TC,between the case group and the control group(P<0.01 or P<0.05).Ther-e were no statistically significant differences in fourteen indicators, including age,ge-nder,nationality,hypertension history,HC VRN A virus load,FBG,ALT,AST,TBIL,DBIL,LDH, HDL, LDL and uric acid, between the case group and the control group(P>0.05).There were statistically significant differences in five indicators, including BMI(OR=2.891,95%C I:2.046~4.086),smoking history(O R=5.873,95%C I:1.457~23.679),F IN-S(OR=1.226,95%CI:1.097~1.369),IRI(OR=1.794,95%CI:1.678~1.930) and TG(O R=6.843,95%CI:1.699~27.563) by logistic regression(P<0.01 or P<0.05).Concl-usion:course,smoking history,BMI,waist circumference,HCV genotype,FINS,IRI,ALB,ALP,GGT,TG and TC are the risk factors of N AFLD in patients with CHC,among them BMI,smoking history,FINS,IRI and TG are the independent risk factors. They s-hould be taken early clinical intervention measures.
